Wash your mouth. What Klose's doing at his age, Gomez will never do and I say this even though I rate Gomez.
this.

salv, pls. the game has evolved to the point where players like that aren't really optimal for a top team.

Because Mandzukic is great and working more for the team. Gomez is an incredible poacher but he doesn't chase defenders like Mandzukic does and then Mandzukic, when given the chance, took it and any coach would be an idiot benching Mandzukic when he proved what form he was in..

And a team like Bayern has enough offensive players on the pitch so a hard working ST really worked well for them this season..
exactly, players like mandzukic are better than simple poachers, regardless of how good the poacher is. that's why lewandowski is so highly rated and bayern are trying to get him now.

he plays for bayern, it's easier to score "too many goals". if his problem was "too many goals" he'd still be starting. players like that contribute nothing to a team's style and that's why they're more likely to succeed in a lower team.

no, i'm not. just saying that players like gomez aren't really as beneficial to a top team as players who provide more movement, can pass the ball, and smarter runs. that's where the 1 dimensional talk comes from :D

Gomez will leave bayern this summer for sure, and his destination is italy. Guardiola has already a clear idea of his new system at bayern and needs another type of striker, more like mandzukic, a working one. But I'm sure that Mandzukic will be second choice next season, because if gomez leaves then a top striker will come, which means suarez, lewandowski rooney etc... otherwise bayern has no pressure to sell him, he has no clause or something like that.

I thought Lewandowski to Bayern was a done deal?

nope its not, because he has no clause to trigger like götze, which means bayern needs cooperation with dortmund, but dortmund is pissed off after the götze transfer and maybe could refuse any offer from bayern, in this case bayern and lewandowski must wait one year when his contract expires and then he could join for free.

or maybe he'll just use Gotze and Shaqiri as strikers? I think he'd be better off sticking to 4-2-3-1, they have the right players for that.

wont happen because götze's injury is more worse after starting to early with training, he is out for 10 weeks and will miss any training and preparation till mid of august, and Shaqiri is a top young player but I think its too much work for him alone.

meh, so what? he'll still be a starter once he gets back imo.

and I'm assuming they'll keep Mandzukic?
