Right back, they sent him there then bought him back.

OMGZ they bought their own player back etc scenario. We just do it co-own style.
These buy back clauses make more sense to me than the co-ownerships, at least from the big club's view. They take away the risk of being burned by the smaller team which co-owns a certain player, as it happened in our case with Parma and Giovinco. Instead of co-owning a talent, you simply sell him for a smaller price (same price you'd get for selling 50% of the rights), but you add a buy back clause, where you might end up losing nothing, or just a million or two.

They do make more sense, although Italian teams have co-ownerships to generate cash short term.

If he does well (and he would) we'd see all of the clubs chasing him even after one year at Italy. Napoli is not strong enough to hold him for 2-3 seasons.
But with an even bigger fee for him.

At Everton, the fee wont ever go higher than 30 Million Euros.
