you think napoli will pay 50 m for Pastore
Zampa told he has received a offer for Pastore between 45m and 50m from an European topside (not really napoli)
I am not sure Zampa's words can be trusted - he is a headcase and has every reason to make possible bidders believe there is a team, more or less, close to signing him for 45 mil.

Either way, if Napoli were to sell Lavezzi to City, it would be for 30-35 mil, which would give them the necessary liquidity to pull of another coup after Cavani.
Also, Zampa and the movie clown are best buddies and there have been rumours that Napoli may buy 50% of Pastore and play the role of a shop window for Pastore in the CL with the idea of allowing Pastore shine in CL and raise his value - his price now is 40-50 mil but his real value is not more than 25, if that, and there aren't many clubs willing to splash big money on a rather unproven player.

If one of the free-splashing teams out there - City or Chelsea - is indeed behind this supposed offer of 45 mil, then I can easily see Pastore going there instead of Napoli but I have my doubts considering Zampa's history.

yes you are right I know but I can't believe those deal exactly exist just like I had the mafia thought in my head when cavani signed for napoli
if the pastore deal goes true I will have the same mafia thought in my head.
Did i tell you I hate napoli a lot (much more then your club these days) :andy2:

I don't think Lavezzi would be a good signing for City. With the money they have, i'm sure they can aim higher.
don't disagree but considering the obscene amounts they have spent on rather average players over the past 2-3 years, I wouldn't be surprised see them pay 30-35 mil for Lavezzi.
With Sanchez reportedly gone, it seems to me they are gonna go for Nasri, and with Silva there, I don;t see them needing Lavezzi, not at that price at least, but one never knows with City ...

do you think an enganche a la pastore would fit in arsenal
I don't know, i have my reservations to be honest. Though i rate Pastore, i believe he would be a big risk, especially for the money we'd have to spend to get him. The EPL isn't exactly the kindest league to pure playmakers such as Pastore, his style of play would probably be too slow for the EPL, and he would get caught out too often with the ball. Central Midfield playmakers ala Cesc, or deep lying playmakers ala X.Alonso are more suited to the EPL, mostly because they play deeper and get more time on the ball.

If i was Pastore i would never go to the EPL tbh.

i agree with all the above, but arsenal plays possession football, and when you do you control the pace of the game so it only means he wont do much defending, plus his game with arene's tweaking would tremendously improve. Any other team in EPL yes, Arsenal he could really do it there

He'd still have to alter his game though. We do play possession football, but our playmakers Cesc and to a lesser extent Wilshere, have more time on the ball than an attacking mid would. Though if/when Cesc leaves, we might be able to alter our formation to more of a 4-2-3-1 to fit him in. Still, like i said, for the money we'd have to pay for him, he'd be a big risk.

All this talk is useless though, as we both know the odds of Arsenal FC spending more than 20M on a player are near to zero :D

losing fabregas and or nasri will have to be addressed, so i am confident that rule will be broken :D

Ya, we lost big players before and Wenger didn't spend then. Its what got us to the mess we are in right now. Also, i am sure we will not let both go, one of them will go. I hope that will be Nasri, though unlikely.

Gervinho is a good player but right now he would be nothing but a good back up at Milan ... actually, I'd think that the more rational among Arsenal fans are not overwhelmed by that transfer themselves, especially if it is supposed to make up for the possible losses of players like Nasri and Fabregas.
Your Arsenal friend is probably still living thru the '08-'09 season and is unwilling to let go of the memories :)
