Fuck Xavi, he doesn't know how to shut his pie hole. I so hope he magically loses his form, Barcelona sell him to Brescia, and then he tests positive for drug abuse :xfinger:

But why not getting tested positive for drug abuse while in Barcelona, forcing dopingtests on everyone in Barcelona, and finding them all positive in drug abuse? :seven:

I think 45M would be appropriate in this market. I believe he is one of the best midfielders in the world. Moreover he is just 23 and has so many years ahead of him. He is admittedly being held back by the fact that he's playing in Arsenal and thus not winning titles, but in Barcelona i think he will get the recognition he deserves. I think minimum should be 40M not one cent less than that. Problem is, i believe Wenger promised him last year that if he stayed one more season, he'd let him go to Barcelona. So i think eventually he will be sold, even if Barca don't offer what Wenger is looking for.

That will go a long way to explain why their players almost never get injured. Its also quite telling, that they stopped getting injuries(Messi used to get long term injuries every season) as soon as the dopehead Guardiola started coaching them :agree:

Alexis Sanchez is going for almost that price. Now of course Sanchez has a lot of potential and can go on to be world class, but when you buy Fabregas, you're getting a sure thing(relatively). Regardless of whether Sanchez goes on to become the bigger player, he's still a bigger risk than Cesc is.

While i'd agree it's somewhat fair. I think he should go for more.

40 mil is fair imo
yep, 40-45 mil is a perfectly fair evaluation ... even though, if one considers that unproven players like Hamsik, Pastore, Sanchez etc, etc are being priced at 40-50 mil, I guess someone like Fabregas, at 24, should probably have Arsenal set their asking price at 80-90 mil. :)

Question is, after Alexis Sanchez, can Barcelona afford €40 mln for Fab?
it depends who you ask - if a reasonable person, then the answer is a resounding no, considering they don't really need him, not now at least with Thiago A on the rise, and the club is drowning in monstrous debt ... if you ask Rosell and co, they will tell that they are negotiating for a 40-45 mil Neymar on top of Fab.

Question is, how they are affording Sanchez, with Rosell admitting they cutting budget on basic stuff like catereeing/kitchen staff, security guards and even said they made some club pictures in black and white to save money. Know their budget is supposed to be 35-40m for this summer, but still, their financial issues sounds quite bit on the bad side.

GdS - Lazio has already come in contact with Barca, inquiring about Gabi Millito. There were rumours in the spanish Sport, I think, about Lazio being after Afellay too.
