How is Inter's new signing Ricky Alvarez?
I think he has the potential to become a great signing for them - they see him as their Kaka :) - but then again so many other players had that too and nothing happened. RA is an interesting player - he is already 23 but came to prominence only recently as he was primarily a bench player until a year ago, also because he had some injury issues.
All in all, he reminds me of a mix between Pastore and Lucho Gonzalez and is a pretty versatile midfielder, who can contribute to the creative aspect of the game but is also pretty imposing physically.

well, there is reason why he is considered the next Cannavaro, unlike Zapata :p

seriously though, Zapata for 7 mil would be quite a hit on the mercato - easily the best value/price ration among CDs on the mercato ... there may be better CDs out there but they are either unavailable or would cost 20+ mil, and he has got quite a bit of room for improvement.
Milan could have used him too, but he should have been a prime target for Juve, IMO.

Bonucci will never reach that level, nor he'll be a great duo with Chiellini.

As for Milan, I think Silva - Mexes can become top duo in Europe.

I am not too high on the Mexes I know from his Roma days but maybe at Milan he could go up a level or two and form a proper combo with TS :) ... Zapata could have come in handy though with Mexes starting preps late for the new year due to that injury ... still, would have been more of a luxury for Milan.

Juve, on the other side, should have gone for him ... I always had him in my ideal-Juve formations, you know :D

I somehow see him as a perfect player for some individuals and Silva is one of them. But Chiellini too IMO, I always wanted him at Juve

:D I like Zapata, he's a classy defender. Much better option than Rolando IMO.

at least as good, maybe even better than Rolando and at half the price.

it's interesting that not many clubs are after Zapata, though, but then again not many clubs were after Zidane when Juve got him for 7 mil or Kaka when Milan snatched him up for 8 mil :)
Zapata could have been a great move for Barca too, with Millito on the way out and Puyol's injuries, but I guess they are too busy dealing with meaningless, high-profile, big-money transfers for Sanchez and Fabregas

Lamela seen at Rome.
he was in Milan before that :D

I think Rolando is overhyped, nothing special about him IMO. Zapata is nice and indeed a good purchase for many clubs he'd be. Also Rami, it was a great buy for only 8mln euros. Too bad we're seeing Bonucci's and Ranocchia's move for 15mln+ within Italy and show 1/3 of that hype.

he was in Milan before that :D
Maybe he loves to travel :D

Sneijder's agent is reportedly meeting with Malaga as they seem to have offered Inter 35mil for him :D

P.S. Moggi has labeled Alvarez to Inter, transfer of the year in Serie A
