Manchester United have taken the top-level decision that Wayne Rooney will not be sold to Chelsea no matter how much money is offered or whatever the potential risks of keeping an unhappy player. Their stance is irreversible and will represent a significant setback for José Mourinho, who had been under the impression a deal to take him to Stamford Bridge was only a matter of time.

Im digging this trend of Serie A teams raiding La Liga for players. That and top players staying away from England. That can only be a good thing.

Also Serie A teams with highly saught-after players being able to take advantage of stupid oil clubs and fleece them. Pastore, Cavani, Jovetic. These kinds of players all being sold for a ton of cash. Definitely good for Serie A teams to have this extra income for new players, stadiums, training equipment or whatever
