Playing in Dubai wouldn't rule out living in Italy or Spain later in your life; you'll have more cash and probably live a richer life.

I agree with everything you said but I'd like to add that playing in Dubai probably isn't merely because of the money. The club you'll play for probably has passionate fans too and the fame will be no less; models would like to date and fuck you and you'll be treated a king in every public place you'll be.

People criticised Falcao moving to Monaco but the way I see it: he gets to live in friggin' Monaco, driving beautiful cars, fucking models 24/7 and making a shit load of cash. Who wouldn't want that?
Take Swedish player Wilhelmsson for example who was playing around in Europe(Nantes, Deportivo.. teams like that) and then decided to go to Saudi and make shitloads of money. He went there back in 2008 when he was 29 and he's still there. He has learned to love life over there and made a lot more than the initial 10m euro he got when signing for his Saudi team in the first contract. Now he's in the UAE.

Unless you have a shot at the big clubs, there is no need to play for middle teams in Italy or Spain when you're barely making over 1m a year when a team in the UAE(not Dagestan or some strange place like that) can offer you around 5m a year. And I'm assuming the life in the UAE for a rich family is very good.

Although i'd like to add, theres a huge difference between living in Saudi or living in the UAE. Actually theres a big difference between the UAE and any other Middle Eastern country.

Of course, he was living in one of those compounds during their time in Saudi. But anyway, seems like he learned to love the life over there. He was over playing in LA Galaxy on loan and him and his wife said that they couldn't wait to return to the gulf. But most importantly, he was making more money than he had ever dreamt about in those middle teams around Europe.

I've always said if I was a player I would go where the money is. You have such a small window to make as much money as you can that you need to take it. Staying loyal to some fans or a team is fuckin' absurd, especially if you're playing for a foreign team. Even if I was playing for Juventus, if some team offered me double the wages I'd say thank you Juventus and leave ASAP.

Everybody is like that, the difference is that you're rational enough to know thats how you'd act when put in such a situation while others might not have such self awareness.

Everything is true there except the great weather :D

Dubai is amazing, would not swap the UAE for any other country in the world
UAE sucks. Thailand shits all over it. Natural beauty over manufactured/fabricated/man made shit any day.

The booze is better, the hookers are cheaper, and the people are nowhere near as hypocritical. Better food, women, and beaches in Thailand. Suck it Dubai

Napoli pounce on Eto'o?
By Football Italia staff

Napoli could take advantage of the chaos at Anzhi to reinforce their attack with Samuel Eto’o.

The Partenopei have been looking for another striker after Gonzalo Higuain, but ran into problems for Porto’s €40m-rated Jackson Martinez.

According to Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the situation at Anzhi has placed an intriguing proposition into their lap.

The Russian club has put the entire squad on the transfer market, as confirmed by Chairman Constantin Remchukov.

“The truth is that we will be reformatting the way Anzhi is run. Many expensive players will leave. The budget will be $50m-$70m a year (£32m-£46m).”

Eto’o joined Anzhi in August 2011 and became the highest-paid player in the world at £17m per season after tax.

The 32-year-old Cameroon international would still be a costly proposition for Napoli right now, but at €20m considerably more affordable than their alternatives.

Wages are another issue, although it is possible Eto’o would take a pay cut for a return to Serie A, where he won the Treble with Inter, and the Champions League.

It's probably just another rumour, made up by those FI idiots, but just imagine:

Eto'o - Higuain
Hamsik

Fuck me, that's some scary shit.

eto'o would sooner join a middle east side that will pay him close to what he is earning than join garbage town.

no way garbage town can afford his salary. and he is has won everything there is to win in club football anyway with two different clubs.

exactly. Falcao and Eto'o made the right choices.

depends on what you're looking for in life. most people who play footie do it because they love to do it not because they need to make money, at least that's how they start out.
I also don't get the idea that you need to make enough money for your whole life during your career, not all athletes sit on their thumbs from 35 onwards.
not all do, but most do, and the money they earn after they retire is nothing to what they used to earn while playing.

Like DelPiero84 says... with a reason... I was in Thailand for 3 weeks... saw thousands of hookers.....not even a wiggle
from them or from you? :p
