It shows how fickle players are these days. They choose money over prestige. I know people will say that it's hard for anyone to say no with that money in front of them but it's not like they're on bad money already...
money makes the world go round, but people don't realise they ruin there careers going to these clubs, they can be legends at their clubs but when they do to a rich club there just another fish in the pond.

they are destroying football indeed, wasting these great players, wait till the day when there is only going to be 4 big clubs owned by the same oil sheik taking all the good players, its disgusting,
money alone is not everything, they will never be a tradition big club, doesn't matter how much money they spend. Dont forget most people have a mind and can differ between real clubs with tadition and so called plastic clubs like chelsea, manchester city etc.

The thing is apart from a money hungry bum, who would want to play in France?

but this is just my opinion, I thought the same thing when Bayern signed Ribery, Toni and Robben

Isco and Lewandowski to Real Madrid.

Modric might be sold.

- Spanish press
Isco,

Great signing for them.
Modric never god a decent chance, would like to see him at Juve.

I'd rather LIVE in France too but to win the French league would be about as rewarding as beating your 9yr old neighbour in a game of FIFA while using Barcelona...
You probably thought the same when Bayern won the German league 10 years ago, and look now, they are with two teams in the CL final.
I agree that now, at this moment, it looks like the French league is a shit league, but in a few years, this might all change.

And to be honest, footballers' careers go up until +/- 35. If you have the option to have financial security by then OR to be a legend for some team, but don't have the financial security, I think the second option is an option worth thinking about.

I think most top players care more about the Champions League than domestic titles. Wasn't that what Raoila was telling Ibrahimovic when he moved to PSG. Also it helps in deciding knowing that other top players are going too. Ibra or Thiago Silva alone wouldn't have gone to PSG, but together they felt more confident of challenging in Europe. Same with Man City when they had to spend a lot of money to build a squad just to convince top players to join in.

I did say that I thought that of Bayern, less than 10 years ago. ( I still don't really rate the German league TBH). As for your second point if you play at a top division in most of the leagues in Europe I'm pretty sure you'll have financial security.

I agree that the Champions league is a bigger pull but you still have to play in your domestic league every week

AS Monaco, everyone's new favourite team on FIFA 14.
oh god I have a friend that will start using them in fifa, biggest glory hunter I know, today at training he came with a man utd jersey and a Barcelona jacket

doesn't even know 5 players in man utd players and yet he thinks he know everything about ever other team, its such a pain talking to him about football
"rooney is the best strikers in the world"
"Ferdinand is the best Cb in the world"
"De Gea is miles above every other keeper"

we just look at him and tell him to shut up. Hate Glory Hunters so much

But you do rate SerieA who is way behind the German league in numbers of points, finances (wages), modern stadiums, number of fans visiting the matches and so on?

And it of course depends on how you deal with your money, but I think the wages f.e. Ibra now earn at PSG are just much more interesting then what he would ever be able to earn in serieA.
