Turkey is a football talent grave yard, I don't think there've been many examples of players younger than 30 who have gone to Turkey as top footballers and after a spell there returned to the highest level. Melo, Quaresma, Meireles, Krasič, Almeida, Altintop, Baroš all have the talent to play well in TOP5 leagues, but I doubt they ever will again, which is sad.

Yeah, even if he had to use a legal loophole to get out of there. :D Still, players who go there to prove themselves may succeed time after time (especially turkish ones), but for already established players in desperate need to revive their careers (like the ones I mentioned) it's hardly a good place from footballing perspective.

Because they were already washed up and no one wanted else wanted them. Just like Sneijder who is a rusty player didn't a shit for past 2 years and no one else willing pay what he wants.
yeah, money is the main problem, but you can look at it from another perspective - no one else in Europe is willing to pay what Turkey is prepared to pay them.

I don't think any club, who have the budget to come close to affording Sneijder, need him. All the clubs, that use a player like him, are stacked already with attacking midfielders.

United: Kagawa and Rooney
PSG: Pastore and Lucas
Madrid: Ozil and Modric
City: Silva, Yaya and Aguero
Chelsea: Mata and Oscar
Bayern: Kroos and Muller
