No. I haven't been. Bayern have considerably more resources than us. I'm saying that we are an attractive enough team for any player to join and that we are wealthy enough to be able to buy anyone. That does not translate into buying anyone we want at any given time though. We can't frivolously spend for a midfielder we don't particularly need and will add virtually nothing to our team.
There's no way James would add anything less than both Costa and Bernardeschi, though.

Like I said, he's overrated in my books. I really, really liked him back at the WC and wanted us to sign him, but when I saw the transfer fee I just laughed at it. It was horrible. But it's obvious that the guy is really talented. Sanchez is way ahead of him, it's not even a comparison, but he will surely add a lot to Bayern imo, just like he would add here. Him behind Dybala and Pipita would be really good imo.

But he plays his club football in China.

A lot of players who don't play in the big leagues look good for their NT. I mean even Fred looked good for Brazil at one point.
Let's see but I think he will fit in well at Barca.

marca says it's 2y loan with 60m obligation (? iirc); 6m/s to the player.

This makes more sense.

There is no way you should sell James under 60m, despite the struggles, he is a franchise level player, and you have EPL throwing 60m-70m on likes of Sigurdsson, Real aint dropping the ball with 35m option, can they? LOL.

Should be super easy to sell James. That is if James even entertains the big spenders in EPL and PSG.

Both players won't make a significant impact on either team.
James will make big impact for Bayern, trust me. He is significantly better AM then Thiago who hides when you really need him and shouldnt play that high up...

It's a great deal for them.

Sadly he just doesn't fit our system with Dybala occupying his position and shoving him out on the wing will not get the best out of him.

If we manage to add Bernardeschi and Costa we have had a very good Mercato.

I still can't get over how we paid more for Costa than they have for James

I feel compelled to comment on this.
Not surprised we didn't get James. Our change in system changed it. It is clear that we are going for out and out wingers. Dybala is a trequartista in the formation, while our wide players are characterized by work rate. James wouldn't fit in unless he was playing centrally - which would put Dybala outwide. I wanted James a lot and if we played a midfield diamond, we probably would have pushed harder. However, both cost and Bernardeschi can play centrally two but are more characterized by explosiveness and in the case of Bernardeschi...work rate. If we're looking to reinforce the wingers, well, James doesn't have 1) the pace (Cuadrado) 2) the workrate (Mandzukic) to play as a wide winger in this system. If we played in a 4-3-3, he'd be fine. But Costa has the mark of Allegri.

You know guys, i think Ancelotti was the deciding factor in the end for James. He could have done Di Maria and gone to England, he was heavily linked with Man Utd and Chelsea at one stage. But he didnt. He had difficult time under Zidane on personal level, with Ancelotti he is going to rejoin with a coach who knows him, its less risky move for him and he needs this at this stage of his career. I could have seen him do a Di Maria in England.

So? I doubt there was an agreement over a discount.

We also sold them Vidal for peantus but I don't expect us to sign some Bayern player for cheap. If anything they ripped us for Costa.
We here at Juve sell players on their wish. Dont blame me but Marotta and their policy if u dont agree with it.

Also Costa isnt alcoholic like Vidal.

Kroos wanted to go to Real (rejected Man Utd), he was their player since youth, so the manager and player came to a gentlemen agreement.

With that good relation between two european giants, James got a chance to rebuild his career at Bayern to re-unite with Ancelotti, as Zidane doesnt like James.
