Ok so after a few days of playing NG2 I can finally give you guys my review.

I base my entire review on the first release which was on the original xbox back in 2004/2005.

The game is pretty much the same, different story of course but still captivating. The game play hasn't changed much, improved graphics (obviously) and the camera is slightly better as well. The game itself is a mirror of the last one in which you go thru a chapter which takes about 35-45 minutes to complete all the necessary tasks to reach the level boss.

The major positives are the new fighting techniques in terms of Ryu's finishing moves and dash attacks. The further you progress in the game the more powerful your skill set becomes. I am very much impressed on the battle engine and the new moves/combos they have implemented.

It has a GoW gore level with the ninja style, meaning you will kill someone pretty gruesomely (slicing limbs off or decapitating your enemy) but its done in a cool way cuz he's a ninja.

Its definitely worth the cash and it will not disappoint. The cut scenes are even better than the original xbox version so you can only imagine how cool they must be.

I've only reached the 4th chapter but I'm gonna give this game a 4.5/5

you make a good point, its actually the only reason why i still have my 360. i should be getting my MGS4 bundle this week so i am hoping i can beat NG2 and trade my 360 in to get the bundle package

I disagree, I have both consoles and my ps3 has been eating dust for the last 3 months. I have 3 games for ps3 and more than 15 for the 360.

The 360 has far more games, gears of war, bioshock, mass effect just to name a few.

Also the 360 has more exclusives right now and more line up.

microsoft released the 360 knowing that the ps3 would inevitably destroy it. thus ms tried to milk every dollar out of that system.

for example by selling it w/out a hd which is required to play, no hd dvd built in, etc.. thus making the consumer pay for things that come in the full package which costs about $750 total.

retrospectively the 360 at its full potential isn't even worth $500. hd dvd was and always has been an inferior form of media.

the games released for 360 were all extremely rushed and not created for longevity but to make a quick buck for ms and the game developers. even NG2 isn't as good as it could be since its developed (currently) exclusively for the 360.

one thing people have to understand is that sony plays to win. when they do something, they do it right. ms on the other hand just releases garbage like its their company mission statement. that is evident on their products across the board, not just console gaming.

i strongly suggest that everyone cop a ps3 cuz thats what it will come down to at the end of the day. and you don't want to hear me say "i told you so"

Graphically the 360 and ps3 are on par with eachother, the 360 almost always gets a better score review for games coming out for both consoles. I can give you links if you want.
Even the 360s gpu is known to better than the ps3s, however the ps3 has better cpus. it even things out.

The ps3 has no freaking games even after 2 years, online service is a joke, price still high for no reason.
Sony relied on their brand name "playstation" and they also rushed into the market after seeing the 360 starting to chunk out a piece of sonys cake.


Im not defending sony, but they made so many marketing mistakes and took us for fools at launch. The 360 and ms did a great job penetrating sonys market with a very good product, lots of games XBOX LIVE a fair enough price. although with some flaws especially hardware failures, that have been solved.


I hate it when people use the "ms loves money argument" everytime the 360 or ms in general are brought up. All companies aim for profitabilty whether you like or not.

i just spent Rs. 33,000 on my new PC. i aint spending 18k to get another piece of machinery that ill use 2 days in a week! no sir... not me!

I know I did my research since I had a thesis analysis on MS for my marketing strategy course. What I wanted to imply is everytime someone mentions MS you hear the "they love money". All companies love cash they thrive on it.


About the xbox I was just trying to help , seeing your passion for thet game.

sony built the playstation brand on quality and longevity. as far as i know, the original ps was the best console that ppl ever owned and i can say the same. the ps2 was surprisingly better and revolutionary. with a library of games that ms xbox/360 franchise can never hold a candle to. the ps3 like it or not is the future. sorry to burst your bill gates funded bubble son.

I didnt read your whole statement honestly. Heres for the part that I did read, you say the 360 has quantity over quality, the 360 has more games and better games which means better quality games, most games that come out on the 360 and ps3get a higher review on ms console.

Anyways I have been a gamer all my life, Im not an MS fanboy. The 360 has been offering me more gaming pleasure. The ps3 had a very bad launch because sony took the consumer for granted, it believed its brand name and market share alone will do. Most people dont even havehigh def tv not to mention a blue ray player, as far as im concerned im still using regular dvds for movies and most people are.

Hd dvd isnt ms format its toshibas, the 360 supported it for movies not for games they dont really care about it. Research it.

How can you mention price, when the ps3 lunched at 600 dollars? the most expensive console in the history gaming, with the worst launch lineup aswell no dual shock a weak controller, and a lousy online experience, games cost 80 dollars.

Bleu ray might be the next dominant format 3 years down the road, however using a technology that hasnt matured isnt really an excuse for claiming a very high price, which shows you why sony are so arogant.


Anyways I told you I have both consoles, and right now for gaming the 360 does a better job.
