The ps3 had a very bad launch because sony took the consumer for granted, it believed its brand name and market share alone will do. Most people dont even havehigh def tv not to mention a blue ray player, as far as im concerned im still using regular dvds for movies and most people are.

    Hd dvd isnt ms format its toshibas, the 360 supported it for movies not for games they dont really care about it. Research it.

    How can you mention price, when the ps3 lunched at 600 dollars? the most expensive console in the history gaming, with the worst launch lineup aswell no dual shock a weak controller, and a lousy online experience, games cost 80 dollars.

    Bleu ray might be the next dominant format 3 years down the road, however using a technology that hasnt matured isnt really an excuse for claiming a very high price, which shows you why sony are so arogant.


    Anyways I told you I have both consoles, and right now for gaming the 360 does a better job.

    yes absolutely right, great quality games titles liek pimp my ride and cabela's alaskan adventure and other such releases puts the 360 on top.

    not to mention the progressive hit technology known as hd dvd. its never good to look ahead, but use technology that never was :tup:

    Xbox 360 has good games on it, with a wide selection. This cannot be denied.

    The PS 3 has MGS...and Ratchet.

    I can also name many ps3 games who are shit aswell, for one haze which was claimed to be the halo killer....

    Read what I wrote again, games that come out on the ps3 aswell as the 360 get a better review on the 360. And the 360 has more exclusives, im going to name 2 bioschock and mass effect.

    Fanboys are hilarious. All consoles are awesome in their own way. Saying that one sucks just to justify that you purchased anther is kind of pathetic.

    And why don't you read my entire post and try to debunk ANY of my points? Like I said, I couldn't care less what gamespot, ign, etc.. rate games. Is that the only argument you can provide? Seriously, go put on another hd dvd and enjoy yourself.

    Its not about that. Once again, its comparing 1 technology to another. And hands down the ps3 is better. Simple and plain.

    No hands down the PC will always be superior to any system, and when it comes to home systems the Wii will be be better because of the potential of the use of the motion sensors makes for innovative ideas. But see you are talking about system specs. I don't care about that shit. At the end of the day I play the games, not look at the specs. PS2's specs are nothing compared to the PS3, yet the PS2 has so many must play games that it makes it a better gaming machine than PS3 which has only has less must play games than the fingers on your hand.

    edit: and what do you mean you proved one system is better than the other? You didn't prove anything. It was already a known fact that the PS3 is much more powerful machine than the Xbox 360.

    1. we were discussing consoles so that automatically rules out pc's from the discussion

    2. I was proving that the system specs/technology for the ps3 are superior to the 360 >> which is true, yet he failed to acknowledge or realize. Along with superior technology comes better gaming, thus following a logical path the ps3 will have better games out for it once developers begin releasing their games. Its like a domino effect.
