if it helps us offload Higuain, Spina is worth it, Higuain is a big burden for FFP with his record wage and transfer fee
once again, as salvo wrote, these deals never happen. it's not like spina would be a one-time opportunity for roma and they wouldn't get higuain without him. and it also doesn't make too much sense from our point of view.

of course it's as silly as hoping that Adidas will finance Pogba to Juve, I agree there :D but, if we're discussing hypothetically, I see Higuain and Khedira as 2 big problems this summer from financial pov and I don't think anyone, who they'd be willing to join, would take them without us making some sort of big compromise

Report: Juve bid €35m for Zaniolo

By Football Italia staff

Roma have reportedly rejected a €35m bid from Juventus for midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, the offer came a few days ago but was deemed too low by Roma.

However, Schira notes Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici is not giving up and remains in contract with Zaniolo’s agent Claudio Vigorelli.

The starlet turns 20 next month and broke out for Roma last season, scoring six goals in 36 appearances, although he was recently dropped for Italy’s final Euro U21 game against Belgium, having turned up late for a team meeting.

The Giallorossi need to make €45m in capital gains by June 30 and to date have sold only Ezequiel Ponce for an initial €3m.

So, there Goes this transfer. Roma instead are selling Dzeko for 10M and Manolas for 20M + Diawara to meet FFP demands

Zaniolo is a typical Italian player who shines as a talent and starts fading as he's growing.
He is still young enough to be considered promising and this will inflate his transfer fee but also at the most dangerous age to be proven a disappointment in a big club like Juve, end his career, his promise and waste the money we invested.
As i consider a great need to get a CAM, normally i wouldn't veto this gamble, but the next two years we shouldn't getting such gambles, we ought to use CR7's last strength for a CL push.
This boy is not yet ready to lead us in CL, should he ever become Juve material first...

Roma 'open Zaniolo renewal talks'

Roma will reportedly open talks with Nicolo Zaniolo’s agent on Tuesday over a new contract for the midfielder.

According to Sport Mediaset, a meeting has been scheduled today between Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi and Zaniolo’s representative Claudio Vigorelli.

The broadcaster explains the club and player are both happy to continue together and that an agreement should be found at €2m plus bonuses.

The 20-year-old is currently celebrating his birthday in Greece but will begin preseason training with the Lupi in the coming days.

It comes after a report in The Daily Mail that claimed Tottenham Hotspur were ready to sell defender Tony Alderweireld to Roma with the intention of funding a deal for Zaniolo.

Zaniolo contract talks stall

Roma and Nicolò Zaniolo are still a long way off agreeing terms for a new contract, so Juventus are watching the situation carefully.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a new meeting was held today between Giallorossi directors and Zaniolo’s agents.

The creative midfielder is asking for €2.5m net per year, which could be worked out at €2m in a fixed salary and €500,000 in bonuses.

However, the offer on the table remains just €1.3m per year net, which could reach €2m with bonuses and add-ons.

It is a significant distance and Zaniolo, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, is hot property on the transfer market.

He is still under contract with Roma until June 2023 and the new deal would only add one year, but undoubtedly his status has grown exponentially since he arrived last summer as part of the transfer taking Radja Nainggolan to Inter.

Juventus are known to be tracking the situation and are ready to make an offer if Zaniolo looks elsewhere.
