To be fair, most of us became Juve fans just as a great generation of players (2006) was ending, and the one that came after was absolutely shocking. Montolivio captaining Milan ffs. Nearly all the potential future Italian stars ultimately flopped: Balotelli, Giovinco, El Shaarawy, Aquilani, Pazzini, Criscito, De Ceglie, Ranocchia, Poli plus Montolivo and probably more. There were scrubs everywhere in Serie A 10 years ago and we were linked with all of them, and actually signed a good few.

Now there are actually good Italian players from this new generation, but we all have PTSD from the Marco Mottas of the world and don't want to get hurt again

I agree. All this “good relationship” talk is complete bullshit. Atalanta and Sassuolo still play hardball with us. Atalanta wanted us punished for the super league, Jj always wants to be the nice club, but they will always hate us no matter what.

Given that we have the worst medical staff in all of Europe and given that our players have some of the worst conditioning out of all top teams, this guy is like an accident waiting to happen.
