Regarding injury history, I'm a lot more comfortable with a player that has knee issues than a player that has soft tissue problems (i.e., a history of hamstring strains and tears). Hamstring and other soft tissues have a way higher chance of reoccurring. Ramsey and Dybala are good examples of that. Knee ligament tears are just bad luck and can be avoided by strengthening.
Don’t know a clue about it, but pressed ‘agree’ just to look smarter

Lol @ “no one else wants Zaniolo“

yeah, because he only wants Juve. It’s like with Locatelli. People really convinced themselves that only arsenal and Juve were interested, when in reality it was just Juve with Arsenal, the clingy chic, hovering in the background.

Top clubs don't go around paying 50mil for 2x ACL players

In fact, if he was not Italian, we would never gone after him too.

I think the management is looking for an iconic Italian No. 10 and that is the main reason for the interest in Zaniolo. otherwise, you can buy better players with this money

It doesn't matter about who's better, it's about being prudent with the rather limited budget we have at the moment. We can easily see out season with Kostic, Di Maria, Chiesa and Cuadrado/Soule as our wingers, and it will cost you at most €18-20m. We can't, however, see out this season with our current defense, and it'll already be an incredibly expensive feat trying to revamp it in time for the start of the season. Buying a player like Zaniolo just because 'but but he's Italian and a juventino' is silly and makes this rebuild unecessarily even harder.
I don’t think that we’re broke or that our budget is very limited. In fact, I expect a lot this year. We’ve been working on our wages for years now, basically since the moment we fired Sarri. We got the capital increase, almost all the big earners left (including the 60m gross of Ronaldo) we’ll sign Pogba with the tax benefits, U23 players are selling good, De Ligt will leave for big bucks (and his 12m salary), we’ll most likely find a solution for Ramsey. Pirlo, Costa etc are now away aswel so the invisible consumers are gone. There even seems to be market for Rabiot.

Obviously covid hit us hard, but the height of the crisis is way behind us. Honestly I think that a lot of possible, and I kinda like us cautiously approaching this mercato. With some luck, we loan Zaniolo and sign Pogba and Di Maria for free. Who would’ve thought that a year ago?

Zaniolo might be the last player i really would like to see playing for Juve , before the injures he was my favorite non-Juve player , i even said would take him over Mbappe (yeah i knew he wasn't better than Mbappe) but i liked him that much , even though it's going to be tough to recover after 2 ACL , i stilll would love him here .

Zaniolo + Chiesa hell yes !!

Guys what do you think, there’s a clear pattern with the club going after guys who always supported the club like Chiesa, Zaniolo, Locatelli, I think even Vlahovic. All weren’t cheap options so we had multiple choices, and maybe only Vlahovic was to obvious not to buy but there was criticism with Chiesa for example. And for Zaniolo we seem very eager to have him, while 50m is a good budget for another winger. Core-building strategy?

people stop stressing out. I was against Zaniolo but only when he was brought in the SMS-Pogba-Zaniolo conversation. Ofc SMS is the best. But since we can get both Pogba and Zaniolo, I see no problems. Also his wages are probably sustainable, slots in the Arrivabene model of not overpaying. Lets complete these deals and focus on defence.

It's not Zaniolo as a player that's the problem for me.

If we spend 50M on him, for a position that's not urgent (whatever position it is he will play) and don't invest in a top LB and CB (not including MDL's replacement if he leaves), then that's complete shithouse fuckery.

Priorities, people. Priorities!

The Zaniolo deal is being drawn up as a loan which actually postpones the costs and gives us more room to invest in other areas, pal...

PS: Chiesa is still injured, Cuads is needed at RB and Soulé is an unknown quantity at that level, no matter how you spin it.
It does what you just said it does: postpone the cost. We will eventually have to pay that ridiculous fee and take that gamble on him. On a free? Id absolutely take him. But not for this fee

Zaniolo disciplinary issues and attitude problems at Roma along with his injury issues will make this an extremely high risk signing. Also at which position will he play if di Maria is the first choice right winger and pogba on left side of midfield?

Not forgetting that we will need another forward.

It's both. Even of we had all holes plugged, we are not rich enough to gamble 50 mil like that.

I'm guessing Zaniolo is not getting in the way of these things because it will be a structured loan + installments deal like Locatelli. If De Ligt is sold that gives us the money to sign at least two new CBs if not a LB as well

Pavard +60mil should do it.

Just to rub salt in the wounds of those that don't want him, Inter will get 15 percent

I've always really liked Zaniolo, I'd be happy to take the risk on him. But I love me some Italiens.
