Just watched the highlights and Zaniolo did some great things. 2 ACL but he still got it.
I wouldnt object for a loan with option that become obligation if he play more than 20 games in Serie A or something like that.

Not necessarily any of those, not anymore. Bring him in.
Whats the difference between now and before? Cuz there was this med student the other day here saying a footballer with a ACL injury recovers to like 60% of the knees capabilities compared to pre-injury, with the mental state of the player having a huge impact aswel

What nonsens. There is a full recovery possible nowadays but it probably takes about 2 years for players to regain that level completely.

The biggest problems are risk of re-injury, which is obviously much higher and the cartilage injury that the actual operation always brings with it, where they attach the ligament to the bone. But that's usually only a problem when players really get older. Most of the time that will be after their careers.

What matters most is the will and energy they put into their rehab 'cause it's a long and hard road. But full recovery is perfectly possible, especially at his age. Which is why Chiesa's injury, with his mentality, doesn't exactly scare me.

What about players losing their speed and ability to change their direction during a sprint?

That is all re-trainable so that shouldn't be an issue if he has the will to go all the way.

But let's not forget some ACL injuries come in a package with other knee injuries: MCL, cartillage, meniscus, hamstrings, adductors, patellar tendon, bone oedema etc. which complicates operations and rehab.

Didn't read any of the above for Zaniolo as far as I know 'tho.

If speed is an important area of one player's game, I don't think they can be the same after 1 ACL, with 2? They never be the same

Plus Zaniolo is a big guy that plays MF.. I see red flags everywhere

Zaniolo is a player with a natural eye for goals. That's the main difference between him and.. Berna or Kulusevski

He could become a perfect false nine sort of player in the future
