He's doing well imo.
Nothing fancy, but he looks like a very reliable player. Knows what to do & when to do it.
Considering where he was just a few months (or even weeks) ago, I'm impressed.
A zebra can't be a horse. He might improve in the attacking phase but he's never going to be a Cancelo, he is a good, young defensive right back. If you want a Cancelo type then we'd have to sign an alternative for a different approach.

He's been poor for a few games in a row now. Lazio in particular he was beaten too easily by his winger and seems to have a dangerous giveaway each game.
i still like this guy. much more mature than his age and experience suggest, and not because of his physicality. this is a good player yet to come up with one single brainfart á la danilo or kalulu. besides the obvious choice yildiz is, savona is my current favorite jj youngster
We conceded only 1 goal when he was playing this season. In 699 minutes. These are Bremer numbers.
Compare this to Danilo - we conceded 8 goals in the 425 minutes that he was on.
Yeah, it's very early in the season and it's not the same playing against Inter or Verona, but so far we seem way more stable when Savona's playing and we're a joke defensively when Danilo+Cabal are on.
