They can’t actually be serious about selling Savona with 4 days left in the mercato, right? So the plan is to ship off a homegrown talent with clear potential, but hang on to Kelly, a PL reject who’s older and offers less upside? Honestly, why bother running a youth academy if this is how it’s treated. The way this club operates sometimes feels like borderline player trafficking, and not even the competent kind.
Savona and Kelly don't play the same position. It's cutting through some corners.

whole team and and not particularly one player.
I disagree. No one was even close to Savona's horror show. But I think that could've been a time where he had some pubalgia symptoms tbf.

First one I looked at:
"Nicolo Savona – 5.5
The young full-back was arguably the weakest link for Juventus as he had a torrid time against Denzel Dumfries. But to his credit, he’s having to play out of position since he’s originally a right-back."

huijsen wasn’t even part of the first team, this revisionist history is so funny. Where was all this energy about him when he was here? I was on an island with a few others begging for him to get a chance. Savona being a part of the first team is pretty much a miracle. He’s a good player.
Yap Hujsen was indeed on the bench for most of the time but still managed to impress at the primavera and a put on a decent minutes (the little he played) - I guess no one would have thought he would be that good but he was extremely young and to play that well at this age is definitely worth keeping (even though we had to raise funds somehow..)
Saying it in hindsight is easy but I will also easily say why I dont like Savona:
Defensively - While some think he defends well, I think he easily get trolled by skilled players.
On the attacking end - I dont expect much and he did reach the level I expect from a former primavera player.

So He is a bit suspicious at defending (IMO), and his attacking game is nothing more than ok, he isnt really a revelation in any other area - If a good offer arrives we should definitely sell him.
What is a good offer? 15M is probably the most we can get for him but I would like it to be closer to 20M because hype is on his side.

It's exactly the other way around imo. He is rock solid most of the time, was so even against the most skilled wingers of the league.

It's the attacking game he lacks, but since his ideal position should be RCB, that isn't a problem for me personally.

He looked good enough for me to wanna see more of him. I don't want us to lose yet another youth player for peanuts, just to see him blow up at another club.

I saw no rock solid performances part of a few games he played against a weak opposition.
His attacking game is lacking but he is more a defensive minded so I would have patiently waited for it to develop but his defensive output are just not enough.
He was annihilated at times and it wasnt the "wrong position" type of reason.
He is better than Rouhi I`ll give him that but definitely not more than 15M and that is just because of his age.

Because of being poor in one match you conclude he should be sold and for 11m!!
I don't think we should take a blind bit of notice and make unfair judgments. He can still be effective and play in multiple roles, he accepts being back up role and plays in the rotation system. He is the last problem of the team and not a priority to sell.

Idk what you saw then. It's simply not true.

First of all. I said he should be sold easily above 15m and second; what makes you think I only watched him one game?

I watched him the entire season. He's not a bad defender but in possession he is awful so he's simply not good enough to be a wingback.

As a cheap backup, he'd be ok. But we have 7 center backs already... and enough players of that calibre already and they are more ready. He's easily sellable because of his age and salary in contrast to Rugani, Kelly, Gatti etc.

    Tak!

He is still cheaper than whatever we will replace him with - and I doubt what we get will be much of an upgrade. We will get another Kelly that will cost money to get here and he will have a higher salary and harder to get rid off. I say keep, I think he can become a reliable backup CB in the future (who happens to be club grown).
