Four years seems like the standard contract. I’ve never even see a contract longer than 5 years.

When you plan on loaning the player out it should be 5 years minimum, it also happens a lot to put an option to extend one year, but as things stand we must either renew Rovella’s contract or sell him next summer and that’s before seeing him in our shirt.

What an improvement for Tonali this season. Knowing Milan negotiated his buy option for 6.9m Euro is a missing opportunity for us. He will also be perfect addition for us as a set piece specialist.
His corner has been very dangerous this season. While our corner kick sometimes too flat with Berna or Chiesa take it

It’s all about priorities and amortization costs and salaries. Bentancur should be a bench player especially with a capable coach, and we can afford keeping him as such.

I think that had more to do with what wanted rather than Marotta opting for Vidal over Tonali.

That's very possible but Marotta is a classic Italian GM, he can and he makes his own decisions, it's not only down to the coach's preference. This is not EPL.

Same goes for Juve's GM and coaches - at top clubs one needs to win, so it's obvious they're looking for more proven players, as long as the budget allows to do so.

I don't think there are any managers in the EPL who have as much control over their teams transfer dealings as Conte had at Inda. Conte clearly had a massive say in any incomings and outgoings. Marotta was pretty much "free" to make his own decisions as long as Antonio was okay with them.

Of course there are some exceptions like Eriksen and Conte made sure he didn't hide his unhappiness with that signing. However after Conte's first season they had a crisis at Inda during the summer and Conte was ready to walk away. Zhang intervened and they basically signed only experienced players Conte wanted and dropped targets like Tonali because of that. I though everyone was aware of the massive powers Conte had at Inda especially during his second season. Then the moment it was clear Inda wasn't going to have a transfer window to Antonio's liking he was out of there.

Tonali was the clear best player in the field. Showed quality and leadership, besides his two assists for the goals.

Rovella came in the second half and was good, played in a more advanced role than usual. But it was Tonali's show.

The team in general was very dominant and only got complacent later on and conceded a great goal. Tonali, Ricci, Esposito, Viganto, Colombo really dominated.
