Wait, people are tying to blame Fagioli for the goal?

Start the clip at 9:50, you'll see Chiesa on the flank, he should be covering that far post, not the midfielder in the center of the field. It's probably why Fagioli doesn't track the player, but hes got his head the other way so he doesnt see that Chiesa isn't making an effort to cover Raspadori, who was right in front of him. Not really blaming either guy, Cuadrado was out of the play and that was his responsibility, but it's Chiesa that should have done more...imo. You even see Danilo right after pointing at him.

Just imagine if it was Mckennie who didn't follow his player like Fagioli.
I'm trying, but I can't imagine it. As awful as he is as a football player, McKennie knows better than to walk shamelessly like Fagioli and not follow his player, and he certainly knows that you shouldn't pass the ball to Sassuolo players in your own box.
In the vital moments of the season, when it's about making the top 4 or not, Fagioli says "not".

Of course he will be forgiven multiple times.

He's born Italian.

Bonucci has been brainfarting for years and yet he's still here. If his name was Ombona Bombona he would be out 10 years ago, lul.

Stop with this McKennie bullshit, he wouldnt make such a mistake because in current midfield setup he is only warming the bench and wont touch the ground.
Also if u want to compare, then Fagioli never gets dispossessed as McKennie was vs Liverpool on their 1st or 2nd goal - if Fagioli is not making it at the top4 fight, then what can u say about McKennie, when he is not making it at the relegation battle.
I dont really understand, why we are even mentioning this shitty footballer here, the next mention about McKennie should be brought here when he is bought by Leeds (hopefully) or loaned to an even shittier team again.

The sequence starts around 2:30. Fags is absolutely oblivious to what is going on, that's legendary levels of not giving a fuck. Should Cuadrado be back home way sooner? Absolutely. Could Chiesa, the LW continue to help out there? Sure. Does it excuse the indifference from Fagioli? He had his head turned the other way? Lol no, he did horrible. I didn't mind him missing the clearance against Sass, could happen to anybody, but this is inexcusable for anyone, but especially a guy thats been on the pitch 20 minutes.

I totally agree, he should do better, but at the same time refuse to crucify him, especially since 2 or 3 other players could do better at this goal and all of them are much more experienced than him.

Just imagine if it was Mckennie who didn't follow his player like Fagioli. The thread would have to be closed. But here, they blame it on another player. They might as well just blame the goal on Mckennie.
The same Mckennie who is leading his team to 5-1 losses to Crystal Palace. And has 0 goals - 0 assists in 3 months playing B2B mid at Leeds. Keep that same energy throater. :lol2:

Chiesa was walking around literally wiping his nose and you wanna call out Fagioli? Raspadori was never in front of him, so to blame him for not marking him when he has (or supposed to have) cover behind him is…a bit much. Theres a reason why Danilo was pointing at Chiesa.

anyways this is all dumb. Players make mistakes.

There's no news saying he's injured, so is Allegri trying to protect him by not fielding him in two big games in a row after he made the mistake and cried? He thinks it could help relieve his pressure?

But it might also send the kid the message that he is not very much trusted.
