I wouldn't take Allegri's word for it. He always says Person X is staying until they're basically out the door like Rovella.

I'd love if he stayed but unless Zak or McK are leaving I don't see the space
I guess nothing can be excluded yet untill the mercatto is actually closed.

This should have been done this summer. Pogba, Locatelli, Miretti, Rovella, Fagioli, one of Rabiot/Zakaria/McKennie. Then next summer you sell the last bum a d evaluate what kind of mid you need to sign based on how the kids do, Pogba status etc. We are wasting another year doing nothing
Having the idea to do it is fine but actually having takers for players is out of our hands. And this is the problem - if Rabiot goes then Fagioli has a spot available. He didn't so he plays 2000 mins instead. Arthur on the other hand is not a player with any playing potential so he is almost forced out on a loan where we will pay nearly all of his wages, come the end of the window.

We can't criticise the directors for essentially giving players away and then say that we need to move those players on to make room. In an ideal world Rabiot goes to Man Utd, McKennie goes to Spurs or whoever for €30m and we don't chase the experience of Paredes for DM. Then all youngsters can stay.

In theory thats also true, but do you believe we couldnt have sold McKennie? I get Rabiot for his wages, and Arthur will be a loan like you described if he leaves at all, but McK should have dozen of options to leave. Then again we are still looking to add a Paredes which shows lack of trust in a youngster we paid 18M(?) for

Yes, 100% not true. There is no space for Fagioli atm. Unless Zak and Arthur leaves (if Parades coming)
Fagioli is home grown so hes not actually taking up a spot and with Pogba and Zakaria's injury history it would make sense to carry an extra body. His versatility is also valuable since he can play in multiple different roles; trequartista, mezzala, regista, double pivot, even winger.

That said I'm not completely sure hes staying, but hopefully Allegri is correct.

I still have to listen to the press conference but if he really said it than Fagioli stays. As much as we like him we’re talking about a youngster on loan so I think that transparency doesn’t hurt in this situation. Same goes for Rovella. Otherwise a very frustrating situation, leaving on the last day of the mercato for the second year.

Btw no news whatsoever on Soule.

Soule will probably stay just so he can gain homegrown status. Plus were thin on wings. I dont really rate him but im not trying to see mckennie over there again

Cremonese is closing in on Jean Onana, a CM. Wonder if that eliminates Fagioli. If he’s still getting loaned Cremonese would’ve been the best place for him imo

Would love if the Fag stays. Him and Miretti have bigger potential and higher ceilings than Rovella imo. Rovella doesn’t look like more than a squad player/rotation option imo. Fagioli and Miretti look like potential long term starters.

Moi aussi you affable Pezevenki. I really hope he stays.

We need to stop rewarding payers because they have more experience and are on big fat contracts - that shouldn't be the deciding factor in playing/starting for Juventus.

I’ve only seen a handful of games of Rovella, many more of Fagioli and Miretti and both of them reached a higher level than I’ve seen of Rovella, but that was at a inferior level of course (Serie B, YL, U23 and U19).

Quite funny tho that all 3 of them have a different set of characteristics and they’d form a well functioning midfield, but probably not good enough yet to compete for the top 4 or Scudetto.
