For 5m he'll be a good addition. Can't think of a better cheap option ATM, keeping im mind that all those suggested swap deals have been ridiculously impossible.
His price is irrelevant because he is a SHIT PLAYER!

With burdisso we would have 3 great central defenders. Chiello can even go to a left full back if needed. I'd say Burdisso and Clichy/Fucile would be awesome, and then we could concentrate on attack and wingers.
Like too much vodka, this post makes me feel to :inter:

^ that is absolute bullshit...the English commentators of Juve's CL matches did not even know that there is also a Stadio Olimpico in Turin.
You judge the whole of England's football commentators/writers/pundits, on your own small niche of expore to them, troll...which is fair enough. But it does not change my opinion, based on my experience and knowledge, which is obviously different to yours.

There are few countries in the world who can match England when it comes to passion for the game. Brazil...is an obvious one, but others??? And if a sport is massively the number one sport in a country, then it follows, logically, that that country will have more people interested in, and aware of, the game, than other countries.

There is a reason why the premiership is the richest in the world, the most valuable product. Because of the market there...the stadiums...the widespread fervour for football. Which simply isn't matched in most other countries. Its a shame this deep rooted passion for the game doesn't lead to english footballers starring more regularly in international competition...but still, I have answered you with facts. and can do no more...Trolls and goblins rarely find common ground, so its best I just agree to differ.

Added to this obvious reason for us to lock horns...i must ask, of course, how much time you have spent in england in your life, troll??? How much exposure to english football supporters and pundits and commentators, have you had??? other than online????

Why do you feel it necessary to call him a troll?
Because a while back when i first had trouble with him, another member kept trying to tell me...'calm down, you fool...he is the Forum Troll...you are wasting your energy'...and I came to believe it. Also...its hardly a majopr insult, when I am referring to myself as a goblin. I would rather be a troll...they have more presence. but lack my slime...and tendency to snarl and crawl on all fours...:juventus:

 (at the troll/goblin thing)

Ok I get it, I just don't think saying... troll after your points is a good way to get them across. I don't think he was actually trolling you.

Most English people know fuck all about Foreign leagues.
Amusing...coming from an aussie. Less amusing, if like me, you are an englishman marooned here in this desolate land ruled by mormons and wombats...

and rather than scrap and growl, id rather speak of burdisso, and accept, that others have a different view of the english football people, than I do. I would expect nothing less when this is a multinational forum...

As for the Argie, is there any truth to the rumours of him having a preference for us???

And if he does sign, will he be happy to play second fiddle to both chiellini and Bonucci???? I see Bonucci as one to be played NOW, not one to be slowly given chances. Burdisso has more strength and experience, and is edfinitely nastier, but Bonucci and Chiellini is our future, and should be our starting duo in the middle.

The English are still largely inward looking when it comes to football.

Football reporters will generally consider it their job to know about English football, not football at large.

Of course there are a few exceptions (the serious papers tend to have one resident reporter who knows more broadly about the game), but most pundits are pretty narrow minded and some are borderline xenophobic.

Chelsea v Inter this year was a classic example.

Most pundits were baffled, even when coached by Mourinho, that nobodies like Maicon, Samuel, Cambiasso and Sneijder could give Chelsea a game, never mind beat them.

Purely due to ignorance of foreign leagues.

:sergio: At least I hope that we can all agree that the yanks, presently, are somewhat lagging behind in terms of football knowledge! I almost felt sorry for Thierry in that interview...but still...he is french, so my blood doesn't allow sympathy towards him.

Anjd Salvo...im playing of course...there are hundreds of truly more taxing places to be marooned, than here in Melbourne...easiest city to exit within, I have ever found. Gorgeously hot summer, but still seasonal changes. Cheap, hardly any scum around, too much delicious woman flesh to make riding my r6 ever safe due to the chance of ending myself after my eyes becoming locked on nubile aussie nymphs...a shame hardly anyone knows about football, but still, the Pro smassively outweight the cons. In fact my only REAL bother is that the coke here is incredibly expensive and shockingly low quality.

the women are quality, i just wish the weather was more like it is up in queensland, same with the beaches.
if you were used to the shingle/glass/syringe/shit/piss/blood/tin can beaches of England, then you would likely find even St Kilda beach, something delightful, mate! Just a shame that in summer there are so many english there...I've spent some time in Queensland over the years, as my old man lives in hervey bay. As you say the coastline has beautiful beaches, the water is warm-ish, and its only really sharks to worry about, but I get a bit bored without the dirtiness and liveliness of the City. i guess I simply need more people to play with, than nature...
