Burdisso rejects Juve for Roma Thursday 26 August, 2010

Roma are back in negotiations for Nicolas Burdisso after the Inter defender let it be known he would reject Juventus.
The defender is desperate for a return to Rome, where he spent last season on loan, but the club considered their €8m to be inadequate.
However, now it is confirmed that Juventus have offered the same sum and their bid was practically accepted.
“It’s true that Roma director Daniele Pradè had a meeting with Inter in Milan,” agent Fernando Hidalgo told Sky Italia.
“He once again showed all their interest in taking Nico back. The player thanks Beppe Marotta and Juve, but now that the offers are identical, one has to consider the player’s intentions.
“If Pradè matches Juve’s offer with the same terms, then Inter must allow Burdisso to join Roma. Otherwise, he could remain at Inter until the end of his contract.”
It is the second rejection today for the Bianconeri, who were also turned down by Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale.
“We said no to Juventus. They were expecting us in Turin, but the player and his family have chosen Rome and Roma,” continued Burdisso’s agent.
“This is his decision. Pradè promised to match Juve’s offer and then we will see.”
