absolutely hated anelka, there was just no charisma or character to him at all I can see why he is so disliked. Has to be one of the most useless and pathetic signings in recent years
Depends on what you're expecting from Anelka

He was a last resort injury crisis back up, and he had no role to perform.

Useless signing, yeah. Only in retrospect because we needed a safety net because Conte wanted a certain number of fit strikers in the team.

I seem to remember he was playing in midfield albeit it was a very short cameo

He wasn't signed as a guy to play a lot. We needed a 5th choice striker and he was cheap while also potentially lending a bit of experience to the dressing room. Smart move although I don't think anybody's gonna be posting about how they miss him in his thread.

Smart move? Nothing about him or Anelka was anything less than a terrible move. We let Del Piero though and replaced him by these two idiots. That was Marotta's worst move.

That pissed me off so much. Fair enough u want to replace Del Piero but to replace him with mediocre players was an insult to someone who never turned his back on the club and gave us fans so much to remember him by.

LordBendtner

http://www.bravo.de/sport/warum-nicklas-bendtner-lord-genannt-wird-349162.html
