But I don't think the guy with the mask even has a clue about how badly he's crossed the line from being "cute" or funny to being a boorish assclown -- one who has made a beeline instead for idiotically unaware and tastelessly crass. Like a clueless guy who walks into a funeral in a clown suit, starts making crass jokes about the deceased in front of the family, and after the family gets all upset he says, "What? You guys are taking this way too seriously."

But I'm wholly not surprised that you might see that as acceptable, Seven. Given that, oh, you've been guilty of a similar offense yourself around here and have shown yourself blissfully unaware of any offense.

Sure it was offensive but how do you think Mexicans and Latin people in general feel when some (emphasis on some because I know you wouldnt) do racist jokes and classify the whole latin race as 'Mexicans'. I dont look like a Mexican, and once in the subway I was with friends and a guy came up to us and told us "Why you dont go and cross back the border mexicans?" How do you think my friends who were actually mexicans felt?

I am so with you on that, Fabi. The only saving grace in my town is that we have so many people from Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc., that people know better than to assume they're all Mexicans just because they speak Spanish.
