Bush and America in general are not well-liked in Argentina. I dont know if you people read what happened a week ago in the meetings between presidents in Mar Del Plata

Can't bring political statements of any sort into a Dutch football stadium; alas I've *never* seen anyone wear those types of masks (or make other political, insensitive statements) and that's either because:

1) It's not allowed, or;
2) The entire nation has the decency not to do it

Now seems to me #1 is a lot more likely

Actually yes I watched the whole event unfold live in MSNBC. Protesters were clashing with police on a city street and causing absolute havoc, however from what I heard conduct such as that is common at those South American summits. I forget the name they call those protesters in Spanish, however most of them are very poor and blame the United States for their suffering. Not like we haven't heard that before..

Actually, I would say a combination of both.

Heck, you don't even have to leave the country for that. Think Seattle WTO '99.

I ended up downtown just two days after that, and people were selling, "I Survived the WTO" T-shirts.

no thats a tad too much...
As far the anti-american sentiment i highly doubt the mexican fan was trying to make a political statement. Yes it's insensitive but if you've ever been to a stadium in Europe you wont find anything wrong with things like that.

N.B: think lazio fans making monkey noises.
I'm not going to get into a debate, but different ppl find different things to be offensive.....

If it doesnt bother you, then thats fine...but be a bit more considerate of your friends here, who do find it to be disgusting

Honestly, I dont know what my reaction would be if I was at a stadium (outside the USA) and saw someone wearing one of those masks.....

I think I would shove it up his ass

I think your yelling at him with your mouth closed would be enough.

Perhaps Andy should refrain from any political debate involving the United States of America. Once again he takes something which was probably a simple joke out of context and acts as if he, and at the same time every other American, is being attacked in person. Grow up, Andy. People tend to make jokes that are on the edge. Fvck off already.

you'd be pissed too !!!!:D
You see, this is far more offensive than what that Mexican guy did, yet I find this amusing. Perhaps you should acknowledge how relative things are, Andy. Because in the end, Vinman was being a racist with that comment. Now you can go on and on about the fact Vinman acted like a racist and should be banned from this forum because racism can't be tolerated or you can realise he made a joke and wasn't being serious.

Did you guys happen to watch that Simpsons-episode in which Maude was on a bible camp? She said she had been learning to be more judgemental. Of course it was a hilarious joke, but at the same time it's so sad. Take Tifoso Lou for instance, he'd be the first to condemn people, because they don't live like he wants them to live. And you guys might think he's a nice guy and I'm a total jerk, but in the end it's people like him who cause wars.
