Actually, it does make quite a difference. Besides having studs that actually give you some traction, you should find a boot that can withstand a long season and feels comfortable on your feet. Touch on the ball is also very important.

I have been playing the sport since I was five, and have always chosen Adidas, Kelme, or Diadora boots. The latter's Baggio boots from WC 94 were some of my favorites, as well as some of the Preds.

I dont usually play on grass, I play on a tar pitch.

Touch comes from your own co-ordination and intelligence... you know when to touch the ball hard or softly. I can tell you wearing runners or wearing these shoes doesnt make much of a difference. They are even more comfortable then football shoes- they are bloody tight things!

The only real difference is shooting and frees. Trainers are not as flat at the sides so adding curl to a shot is alot harder. But then again, when you are playing with your friends in the park how often do you have free kicking situations?

Well, I play for my college team so I need a decent boot each year. You cannot play college football and get by with wearing tennis shoes.
