football shoes make about 2 percent difference from just wearing normal runners. They arent really worth forking 120 euros over for.

Actually, it does make quite a difference. Besides having studs that actually give you some traction, you should find a boot that can withstand a long season and feels comfortable on your feet. Touch on the ball is also very important.

I have been playing the sport since I was five, and have always chosen Adidas, Kelme, or Diadora boots. The latter's Baggio boots from WC 94 were some of my favorites, as well as some of the Preds.

I dont usually play on grass, I play on a tar pitch.

Touch comes from your own co-ordination and intelligence... you know when to touch the ball hard or softly. I can tell you wearing runners or wearing these shoes doesnt make much of a difference. They are even more comfortable then football shoes- they are bloody tight things!

The only real difference is shooting and frees. Trainers are not as flat at the sides so adding curl to a shot is alot harder. But then again, when you are playing with your friends in the park how often do you have free kicking situations?

:howler: I didn't say that :D
I just find it a bit odd how people know all about the latest brands of shoes and which footballer wears which. the operative words being ' I find ' for anyone who chooses to take offence.

Well, I play for my college team so I need a decent boot each year. You cannot play college football and get by with wearing tennis shoes. :D

Is a 150 euro fine for crossing a zebra crossing when the light was red an appropriate sanction?

    No it isn't.

What about a 500 euros fine for telling the fat, bored, incompetent, smegbreathed, cowardly, pig-eyed, power-starving illiterate Belgic police officer who has just fined you said 150 euros to sell his shit to the tourists and go check the Moroccan thugs that are beating the crap out of a harmless drunk guy just down the street instead of taking the piss out of a mostly law-abiding citizen who is actually PAYING more taxes than anyone in his puny country to finance his wanky salary ?

It's called an abuse of power.

I am not paying a quarter of a third of a tenth of half a eurocent. Don't believe me? Try me, cuntwipe.
