Andy, who has an NHL team in his town, me or you? That's right, it's me.
That is correct, however I travel up to Detroit a few times a year, and attend usually two Wings games around the Christmas Break. Moreover, if the Wings come to play the Caps I'm only a few short hours away...

Besides, who cares about hockey when you have NASCAR. :cheesy:

Andy, I like hockey, but it is going to be difficult to crank up any interest after this long layoff. Of course, I was never that big of a fan to begin with.
It will be hard to bring back those fringe fans, the passive fans who favor other sports instead, however there will always be those fans who like their city team if they're playing well. That's why I am hoping the NHL will change the rules to make the sport more exciting....perhaps expanding the goals, reinstating the shootout, taking away the two line pass rule, etc.

Turns out i'm going to Atlanta, then Martinsville. Now someone tell me Atlanta isn't the place that gets hit by hurricanes every other weekend? :D
Are you serious? You're actually going to Martinsville, VA?

Atlanta is a very hot and humid city during the summer, and indeed, if a hurricane comes ashore in Florida or some other place in the South...you have a good chance of getting some of the bands coming your way. And it's not like there are hurricanes in the Atlantic every week...depending when you will go there, which I assume is in the summer or fall, you probably have about a 5% chance of dealing with the remnants of hurricane..if that. But just to let you know prime hurricane season is in late August through October.

Atlanta? Ahh, the dirty South. What are you doing in Atlanta?

i believe hurricane dennis just ripped that place a new one.

So you got hurricanes and red necks. Should be an interesting trip ;)
Nah Hotlanta did not get ripped by Dennis. They did have a tornado or two, but nothing that bad.

A friend has to go there for some training things for his work and somehow he dragged me into it.

Though Martinsville dosen't sound promising to be fvcking honest.

Hopefully the accent and hair won't be a problem :D

Are you going to pull some girls? That might be risky, getting beaten up is one thing, getting blown away with a shotgun is quite another

Maybe Martinsville is getting a hard time here, though on google all I seen was nascar and girls on the back of a truck with shotguns. :D
