It would hardly be a miracle for Liverpool to win. You can't say how a game will go. Milan getting knocked out tonight would have been far from a miracle, the complete opposite infact.
I can't say how the next fifteen minutes will go ... whats your point? One makes assumptions on a game based on a team's past performance as a whole. As a result, given Milan's consitency in Europe AND Serie A vis-a-vis Liverpool's 5th place in Premier and 'shockers' in Europe I think its fair to say WHO the favorite is.
Milan were never in danger of getting booted out from PSV....the scoreline was never in PSV's favor to close the game. A miracle would have had to occur..it did not.
what a shame

Liverpool have a pretty decent chance. Yes Milan are certainly the better team and if they bring their best game to Liverpool we could struggle. But you know how it is with the English/Italian games right?
Funny you mention that. Because here is what gets me. For years I have been hearing the English sports media criticize Italian football, Italian coaches, Italian teams and Serie A as a whole for its 'playing style' and mentality. Labelling it 'boring'...anti-football, etc. Then we have little Liverpool which apparently to these journalists is evidence that English football is back.
However,
Liverpool beats Juve 2-1 (1 goal margin)
Then Liverpool holds Juve down for 90 minutes...0-0
Liverpool then holds Chelsea down 0-0 for 90 minutes.
Then they pop one in on Chelsea and the rest of the match pray and build a defensive wall as Chelsea attack all night long.
Hmmm interesting strategy...when Italians do it ..its called 'catenaccio'...when Liverpool does it they call it "heart"..perseverance, etc.
Sell that sh*t to the tourists....Liverpool 'ripped' a page from the catenaccio text book.

This isn't Man Utd and this isn't Juve. You said it once yourself. No amount of money will ever buy a Maldini. Well we have two of those in Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, who both happen to be at the absolute top of their game right now. These players will work there asses of for this club, the work they will put in in this final, the first and maybe last of their careers, will be immense.
And this isn't CHELSEA or JUVE...no sitting back and waiting for us to screw up. This sh*t won't fly here. We don't have Del Piero's who will be picking 'daisy's' on the field and pull disappearing acts all match long. You give us an inch and you will be down 1-0 before you can say 'Crespo...Shevchenko...Tomasson...Kaka...'

Come to Turkey like you came to Einhhoven and you are going home empty handed. Personally I hope these English scum can wipe away some more cocky smiles. Though from reading your postings since I came here, you haven't been cocky, you've been down right ignorant to any opposition.
Actually no. Because what PSV did Liverpool cannot. Liverpool has not gotten to the final playing like PSV. Had Milan had a 2-0 goal lead on Liverpool it would have been a much less stressful night than tonight. Liverpool has not exactly exemplified 'offense' and attacking power.

I realise you have history on your side. But don't get carried away it's only been one season Nick. You are talking like Milan have dominated Europe for the past decade.
Problem for Liverpool is this: Milan COMES UP BIG in the BIG GAMES. Its the small games they have trouble with. The Siena's..the Messina's...the Second legs after having a cushy lead, etc.
Milan put Inter away in the first match...they put Man U away and they put PSV away in the first match (sort of).
I am actually happy Chelsea did not make it...for one year it puts the Russian's mentality of buying a CL title to rest and proves it can't be done that easily.
