Costacurta has put Crespo, Trez and Zlatan (this season in the last case) to SHAME in his late 30's ... experience and positioning make up for speed. That said, Stam is far from FORM, fitting in and finding his niche.

Frankly I haven't seen Costacurta for a while but none of the mentioned forwards are reputably very quick, unlike Roonski. Course there is more to it than speed but if you match a quick forward with a slow defender chances are in the course of 90 minutes he will get a couple of chances even with good marking and positioning.
