In this case its not the probative force which we care about its actually "credibility of the witness". He is a former Juve player, yada yada yada. However, perjury is a crime and I doubt Inzaghi will lie just because of a grudge. By the way, why would does he hold a grudge against Juve? They could have easily REFUSED to sell him to Milan and made his life miserable in Lazio or something! The deal was good for both sides..Juve and Inzaghi.

I think Inzaghi would testify truthfully. I also think the truth is that he never took an illegal substance while at Juventus or at the direction of the club.

Inzaghi's "grudge" against Juve is down to the fact that Inzaghi wanted to finish his career at Juventus. He publicly committed to the club, despite his inability to get along with Del Piero. The club chose Del Piero over Inzaghi (which was only to be expected), but the club also chose Trezeguet over Inzaghi. So, it is only natural for Pippo to have ill feelings.

Just a thought. How many professional athletes (teams) use illegal supplements to enhance their performance? How many have been caught? Back in those days could it be a case of who masked their substance cleverly enough or who lived most dangerously?

DaJuve...Back in those DAYS? Do you realize we are talking about 5-6 years ago (94-98) and not in the days of the brown leather "onion bag" football.

That excuse is pitiful and very weak as a defence. Much like today there were tests and reports conducted. More importantly, a good portion of the players from "those days" are still playing in Juve. So its important to know what really happened.
The sheer physical change of Del Piero and Vialli was enough to warrant suspision.

When Vialli moved to Juve, all of his hair fell out. It was later found on the sideburns of Del Piero and Di Livio. Is this the pysical change you mean? I saw it too!

Padovano...Del Piero in the period (I don't remember the exact dates) of 98 after Del Piero recovered from injury (could have been 97) his increase in muscle mass on his legs was abnormal according to tests vis-a-vis his training. Vialli gained an unexplainable amount of muscle mass as well in that period. He looked like a shadow of his former self at Samp. His claim was that he was hitting the weights. Again eyebrows were raised when certain substances in his blood were abnormally high (someone mentioned iron).

On your line of reasoning though..want to talk about changes look at Antonio Conte...that transplant must have cost him a pretty penny. I remember being at the WC in NY when Italy played Spain and the reflection from his head was blinding. Look at him now!

Yes, our Conte suffered a particularly ugly pattern of baldness. While I am an advocate of shaving one's head when this happens, Conte elected for some sort of transplant. It does look better, but still not great.

DP's knee reconstruction was after the injury of 08 Nov 1998. I think the Zeman observations predated the injury. Still, you have to admit there is something to my sideburns theory. Di Livio should not be above suspicion either.

5-6 years is a long time ago in the drugs business. On the suspicious bulk; creatine was legal back then and some studies (i cannot prove this) have shown that you can gain atleast 10lbs of pure muscle per month.

Bottomline as far as I am concerned made them into worse players especially Dp as the once precocious talent was replaced with more effort
I remember Vialli of old also being very skinny and I think he was a winger in the 86 world cup where he came on for the sadly aging Conti and he looked like a very skilful player after that for Sampdoria. Then all of a sudden Vialli became more of a physical player than a skilled one.
Also I am not too happy to see the changes in Cassano as well , he seemd to have bulked up too
If they are doping and there is a very strong case to say they are because of the physical changes, it might explain the little niggling and serious energies they all seem to suffer far too often

If you look at players like Raul and Henry they seem to play every match whilst Vieri , Crespo, Dp and so many others are almost always injured

I am just baffled how anyone can say Guardiola failed a drugs test, I was shocked to hear he had any nandrolone at all , let alone excess of it

The law that Mr. Berlusconi's government passed to give the PM immunity from such prosecution has been overturned.

but where in any of this does the court say vialli was saying the complete truth and have accepted he only took those substances... they havent

Jus cause vialli said something doesnt make it true, and the court in no way shape or form will jus beleive him,, they do have plenty of evidence that points to a different set of facts

I am beginning to question you being a lawyer because you certainly do not think like one.

Firstly, Berlusconi owns AC Milan SpA. Berlusconi also owns Panorama, Retequattro television, CanalPlus France, Mediolanum insurance. The trial has to do with Finninvest holding corp. and as a result has nothing to do with AC Milan the team, company, its players or personnel. Maybe you can explain to me how this taints Milan as a credible team since the scandal has nothing to do with them.
If you were informed Robert you would know that Agnelli family spent time in jails, drug re-hab and died of overdoses. but how does this tie into Juve?

Secondly, the trial is not for bribery of judges and there is no "building empire". Thirdly, the law you talk about was not PASSED but RE-INSTATED By Berlusconi as it was in force from WW2 till 1993 and removed in 1993. He did not PASS the law he re-instated.
More over, it is NOt high public officials immune from prosecution it is a suspension of prosecutions until the individual steps down.

Please, if you want to talk politics or have THIS discussion with me you have to do your research and more importantly be logical.

You are right its called Probative force. I.E. The court takes from each witness would they conclude to be credible and worthy. Thus, just because Mr. X said Mr. Y gave him a car it does not mean the court MUST conclude that Mr. X received a Car.

The same way many see Inzaghi's testimony as questionable the same may be said of Vialli's as he is still close with Giraudo.

For the record the prosecution claims that while Creatine was legal the way in which it was administered by the medical staff (in terms of amounts, drug cocktails and doses) was not legal.
