Vinni, I didn't mean you, as I pointed out the likes of Nick and those that think like him. However, looking at your post I can't help but to notice that you are also carrying prejudgmental ideas.
You start by saying
"where have I ever said that I didnt want Muslims living in my country ?"
It's not your country, just because Italians have been here longer doesn't make it your country, by that standard Chinese-Americans are more American than you.
My problem lies with those who are here with alterior motives...who believe that America is satan and must be destroyed (and there are a good number here who are like that...whether you agree or not)
Sure, there are bad-sheep amongst all people. Every type of people that come here at one point or another have felt the discrimination and racism towards them, and nearly all of them have developed a 'hate' against the oppressors. The Chinese, the Irish, the Italians, the Blacks...all of them have at one point or another felt discriminated and have hated those that discriminated against them. The only reason why you identify yourself as an "Italian" is because life wasn't always peachy and you came to bond and identify yourself with your 'people.
My point is that those that say that America is satan are saying it for a reason. What ever that reason may be. You might then say "Then why are you here, go back to your country" Well that could have been said for all immigrants that came here and felt the same.
One of the guys on my soccer team is a Yemeni, and also a first cousin of one of the "Lackawanna six". I was skeptical about letting him play on my team, but once I talked with him, I realized that I cannot blame him for his cousin's disgrace. Now, if he shows up at one of our games sporting a bulky vest that he says is for soccer "training", then I'll know that I was wrong !!
Like Nick would say, call homeland security
