In regards to car manufacturing, I tried to show a point that I further discussed with Martin on Kopete :D but I would like to say something about it.

Now why would car manufacturing be considered something developed? The industry is still developing a technology that was presented by Leonardo da Vinci and saw birth in the 19th century. We are in the 21st century now, I am sure there is a newer technology than the ICE, but we insist on using it, isn't that retarded?

I just lost my driver license for 6 fucking months. For what? For not even being drunk. 0,8 of alcohol in my blood (it´s not in percents, I forgot the English word for alcohol measuring unit). I´m sure in some countries I would pass with only a money fine. Fuck Croatia and their stupid law!

I just had to let this frustration out of me....I figured this is the appropriate thread for this. :D

Sorry to hear that. They really outta dump this shitty law where you can't have a drop of alcohol in your system. Having 0.5 volume of alcohol is tolerated in most European countries, why they didn't leave it at that is beyond me. Not that it would do you any good, since you had 0.8, but at least the fine would have been smaller.

Did you know that 0.8 is actually allowed in UK and some other countries? If they alow that amount, then surely you are able to drive. :howler:

What is also sad that they didn´t even reduce the percenatge of accidents with this stupid law. I could go on and on with their stupid traffic laws but I won´t. Not this time.

Oh well, at least I will discover pleasures of driving in taxies. It´s quite cheap, 1.5 Euro for 5 kilometers, I can live with that, since I don´t travel in big distances.

6 months :wth: :wth: .
In Belgium, I think it would be 2-3 weeks and a fine of about 500 euro's or something like that. We are only allowed to have 0.3.

Yeah, what's up with that? Taxi's in Rijeka have become ridiculously cheap, the prices here are like 5 times higher.

We're "allowed" to have 0.0, zilch, nada.. The punishments are quite severe and frankly ridiculous. 2-3 weeks plus a money fine seems fair, but half a year? Idiotic.

Wow, 500 Euros is a lot of money, that´s the difference with Belgium and Croatia, the fine in Croatia is about 200 Euros until 1.5. But I don´t really care about money, I can pay in several rates, which means I can pay 200 Euros in 3 months, that´s nothing really, a small sacrifice. But taking driver´s license for 6 months is ridicolous. I have a job and if I have to go to business trip tomorrow I can´t and my employer will find somebody who can. :howler:

I don´t know but I like it. :smoke: However, only 2 taxi companies have that small prices and they are beating the others. It is a good business actually, get many customers because of their cheap price and they make more money in the end. They have a smaller number of cars, but peple will rather wait longer and pay cheaper than otherwise.

Makes sense but I don't think they'll be able to keep it up for a long time, the other companies will revolt, they'll change the law and in the end you will be paying taxi fairs with gold like it's meant to be. :p

Finally it's a certainty: come next year I'll be living in Bologna. Now the only thing Bologna has to do is make it to Serie A, which their current poor spell seems to make impossible.
