Look, from what I saw Andy and Nick were quite obviously provoking Jack. As for Burke, he deserved the ban, I doubt even he would disagree. I don't have anything against either Andy or Burke, can't stand Nick though, but I don't really understand why Jack's decisions are so contested.

And what's this soap it-nonsense anyway? Stop trying to look cool. Andy and Burke will respect you even more so if you try to have an own opinion, Rab. And so will I.

I saw what Jack and Rob wrote in the mod threads, so I follow what they're doing in more detail. It makes sense to me. I don't sense that there are grudges or anything personal behind their plan. So I give them my full support.

To the detail I know, sure, what they have in mind may seem like a relatively tough "sentence" -- but not one without merit. And it's definitely temporary. Given how little bans were enforced, nor applied, in the past with certain people and past behaviors, I could see how it might suddenly seem shocking. I think people are making way more out of it.

A few of my favorite posters here crossed lines, need to chill out for a bit, and we'll welcome them back soon enough.

well at least we managed to provoke some "serious debating" in the natw thread, which is,ironically, something the 3 posters mentioned were lamenting there being a lack of previously.
in all seriousness though,i do miss burke but i was left wth no option but to warn that posta s it was offensive to many people,but i could ahve also warned the follow up posts by both him and andy which were directed towards rebel.
i thought twice when i realised it would result in a ban as burke is one of the guys i really like in here. but i did what i had to do, eben if it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Ohh, this banning thing continues. They were banned because they broke the rules, and they were even warned before they were banned. Nothing personal against Andy and Burke (dont care about Nick), as I like both of them, and I've spoken to Andy on MSN many times and he's a great guy, but rules are rules. Most of the people here think that this whole forum and moderation thing should not be taken too seriously. But, if mods and both Martin's wouldn't have taken this forum thing seriously, the forum and the site itself wouldn't be one of the best on the internet, and we wouldn't be speaking to each-other. Maybe these three bans were a little bit harsh, but I think mods are being too nice with a lot of members here, as things go off topic very often and members fight with each other in different threads, without being warned. Just my two cents...

Word, he's an ass who makes a great atmosphere in this forums. He really makes us laugh, and you always need these kind of posters in forums. I remmber once coming back home, my leg was kinda fucked from football, and was somehow pissed, digges up few posts by SingJuveSing, couldnt really handle It but laugh.
