The high temperature today in Buffalo is 5 degrees Farenheit

I got my heating bill yesterday (the cost is another story !!), and it said that the average temperature for the month of February was 19 degrees...last years average was 30 degrees

This has been the coldest 2 months that I can remember here

I wish Al Gore would come up to Buffalo, and kindly explain his "global warming" theory, while standing outside in the middle of this freezer.....

then, if he hasnt froze to death, I can tell him exactly where he can shove his theory !!

It's freakishly hot in Belgium though. For this time of year anyway.

Dude, global warming does not mean that it gets warmer everywhere.

It can have an adverse affect in some areas, like if the glaciers melt, it can cause colder Atlantic currents, which will make Western Europe like 10 degrees C colder each year.

Imagine all that rain in England being snow.

Great. Just consume more oil and you'll be fine.

Temperatures at a single place do not depend on solar radiation alone, Vinni. All sorts of pieces come together to form the temperature puzzle; high and low pressure systems that could be found several hundred miles away from your location, the location of planetary waves of five distinct low pressure regions found around the globe, and climatological patterns of El Nino and La Nina all have to be taken into account. It's no secret that Global Warming will eventually cause climate change and the coined term should not be taken so literally. In some places, due to the global average temperature rising, temperatures would fall below average for quite some time as that is simply how weather patterns would change. It's not so simple and that is why I find "global warming" so intriguing.

So let me handle the meteorological discussion, bro, and I'll let you lecture us on the current price of coke out in the streets. :D
