Well, Vinny, as Geof has already said, if you want to be in the top 10, then you have to compare yourself with the best, not with an occupied country like Palestine or arguable country like Iran or countries that are well known for working against the democracy like North Korea...

And please, I have to tell you that I was raised in the Middle East, and we were not taught to hate christians or jews just because of their religions. We were taught to treat the person like he does treat us, and that's it...

Killing an innocent christian or jewish will get you directly to hell IMO, but you can't say that somebody who lives in your house is an innocent...

That's it, mate...
I dont really care about being in the top 10 of some poll....my only comment is that ppl in this country arent packing their suitcases, and running, flying, or swiiming to any of those countries in a hurry

if you tell me that your religion doesnt teach the things that you describe, then I have to take your word for it...but I happen to know otherwise, and it even goes on in this country, with a large percentage of mosques here

Also in some Middle Eastern countries, they let little girls sign and draw pictures on missile rockets that are about to destroy innocent people's homes. I'll let the forum members to guess which one that is.

Also, Iraq supposedly had nukes, and now chaos doesn't even BEGIN to tell the story of what's going on there. Is this the freedom and democracy you wanted which Americans preach to us all day long about? Is this the democracy which Condoleeza Rice wants to see in Syria and Lebanon too?

No thanks. American's foreign policy "miscalculations" are clearly paving the way for more and more radical Islamic terrorism. Zarqawi and Bin Laden only DREAMED of having a stronghold in Iraq. Look what's happening there now...despite Zarqawi's death, and Bin Laden's virtual non-existance.

Mark my words, if Bashar el Assad is removed in Syria...and Condoleeza's vision is fulfilled, then the entire Middle East is f*cked.

Unfortunately in Lebanon we have blind idiots who are following the coat tails of Condy because they think she's got it all planned out for us.
obviuosly , you are not a Christian, and you support Syria...good for you !!!

I'm sure you were exstatic with the assassination last week...just another move by Syria to get rid of democracy, and the Christians who are spearheading that effort

and I guess you can thank the USA for giving the Shiites their "freedom" in Iraq, and allowing them to pursue civil war... instead of building a democracy with the Sunni's

I didn't know that TBH Tahir, but I do know that Hezbollah didn't even ask for the Christian hostages in Syria(thanks to their relationship with the Assad family).

and btw- lawlessness rules in some Middle Eastern Countries, where children are taught that Christians and Jews defied Allah, and are nothing more than pigs and monkeys because of it, and that killing them will get you a free pass into heaven, virgins and all
Hmm, I don't recall ever being taught that Christians and Jews should be killed! What I remember is that I used to study all year long over here in Saudi Arabia and then going to the States in the summer, I don't recall any internal conflicts or feeling hypocrate because I am not living up to my "religious duty".

I also remember being taught about the battles of Badr, Uhud, Qadisiya, Yarmook...etc. Where Muslims fought against Pagans, Persians, Christians...etc. But also We were taught how Mohamed granted amnesty to the Pagans of Makkah, how Umar refused to pray in a church in Palestine fearing that future generation would usurp the church and turn it into a mosque, how Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived in total harmony in Andalusia, and how the prophet used to visit his Jew neighbour when he was sick. You can't take history out of context like that, it will only distort your comprehensive view, and breed anomosity and hate if you will. This is exactly what the "terrorists" are doing, looking at the battles in Islamic history and using it as justifications of what they are doing. You are doing the same but instead of using it for you, you are using it against a religion.

Vinny, we all felt the brunt of terrorism, not only America. And we will NEVER rid ourselves from it until the USA acknowledges that it's foreign policies is not the solution but part of the problem.
