Btw, on a more serious note, Martin ... a bit to what Vinman stated here. Thanksgiving is easily my favorite holiday of the U.S. calendar year, hands down. Good food and people and an opportunity to be appreciative of what you have in life. No commercialized obligations to buy gifts or greeting cards. No religious sensitivities, and no religious guilting.
A truly secular holiday that everyone can equally enjoy -- and for things that cannot be bought or sold. And with a traditional two days off. Can't get better than that.
