So is Thanksgiving exactly as you see it on tv or what? Turkey, whole family there, politics at the table, conflicts, hugging and making up that makes your eyes wet?
This is what I want except for the politics and the hugging and of course I want the football, preferrably the Broncos in action.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my compatriots and others who celebrate it.
Likewise, all. :pint:

I love stuffing.
I love stuffing Pado's buttery glory hole.

Happy T-day, Fap-master 2000.

And oh wait, go Lions. I don't really care if we win or not, I just want to see Joey Harrington die at Ford Field.
I'll be tuning in to look for a Nedved lookalike sniper on the roof.

Mostly. Just add relatives that stay over and want to get rid of as soon as the meal is over, having to unbutton your pants afterwards and watching some lameass Dallas Cowboys game on your back on the sofa, and knowing you also get tomorrow off.

Thanks a lot, but I have a question, would you take care of that even if my visit was in the summer?
I dont know about anyone else here, but I am of the opinion that turkey with all the trimmings is good any time of the year !!:agree:

this years Thanksgiving gives me the reminder of last years unfortunate Thanksgiving for me...where I had just had jaw surgery days before, and was wired up missing the big feast.....have to give my wife major props for blending together small bits of turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce...as well as a pumpkin pie shake afterwards.... I will make up for last year today !!!!

no politics or conflicts at my families house...but I can see how that could become a problem after the 8th or 9th beer in some households :eyebrows:

Btw, on a more serious note, Martin ... a bit to what Vinman stated here. Thanksgiving is easily my favorite holiday of the U.S. calendar year, hands down. Good food and people and an opportunity to be appreciative of what you have in life. No commercialized obligations to buy gifts or greeting cards. No religious sensitivities, and no religious guilting.

A truly secular holiday that everyone can equally enjoy -- and for things that cannot be bought or sold. And with a traditional two days off. Can't get better than that.

I bet there is some religious person right now thinking about how Thanksgiving is a curse, because it has no religious context.
