Vinni, As you well know, You are one of the people i have always had allot of time for here. A decent man, someone i would go out of my way for, a genuine person who I like and have respect for.
Respect not only as a person but also for your work. You are one of the few here that has a career that I truly believe I couldn’t do.
When I look at many here, I see students... Been there done that, I see the odd lawyer... My father, sister and wife have passed the bar... I see a pilot, Not to a high level but I have a light aircraft licence etc etc

But then there is 2 that stand out for me... Bozi, I think is a nurse... Definitely couldn’t do that , I don’t have the temperament, I hate hospitals and have a real distaste for doctors and sick people...

Then there is you, The policeman... I have to respect that, Not the courage or any of that bullshit... Dealing with an armed robber or a drugged up, strapped gangbanger doesn’t mean shit to me... I've been in the army , I’ve worked in real warzones (Iraq,Lebanon,Kuwait,Palestine,Afghanistan, Chechnya, Congo, Sierra Leone etc). That side of it doesn’t impress...
But then you have to deal with certain things i couldn’t deal with, things I have experience of like child abuse or things completely alien and sickening to me like kiddie fiddlers and people involved in animal cruelty.. those are people I couldn’t deal with, I couldn’t control.. people I would happily beat to death as look at them... Not to mention you do this for a wage (no offence) that I personally wouldn’t get out of bed for... For that I have complete respect for what you do...

What are the basic conditions under which you can fly (over here it's either Visual Flight Rules or Instrument Flight Rules) ? And where in Sierra Leone were you? I've lived there myself when I was young.

I then took my Night rating and IMC rating in a Piper Arrow
Hopefully get round to multi-engine etc at some point
