Oh they do. I could show you pictures of my butt (Im not saying I will though) or someones butt wearing different pairs of jeans and you'll see what Im talking about. Of course its all about the attitude etc but when we girls go to bars/club and check out boys one of the first things we notice is their butt
For $220, I could probably find a number of other ways to make my butt look better. :eyebrows:

Finding jeans here is a task for me. I am tall but slim and usually over here the longer the legs the bigger the waist and they never end up fitting. I really detest shopping for them.
I've basically given up on jeans as a sort of protest myself. $200, $300 pairs of jeans? Screw that to look like a metrosexual farm hand! For the same money, I could be wearing Brioni, Armani, or Kiton pants and looking like all the guys in jeans work for me. :D

You see, Fabi, that's the problem: you're thinking that the only thing you can wear to reasonably cover your bare naked butt on any given day is a pair of jeans. Jeans, jeans, jeans and only jeans. :sleepy:

But I'm not talking about jeans. For the same price as some of these designer jeans, I could have handmade Kiton dress pants that would make Berlusconi look like a used car salesman.

It's sad that society today is in such a sorry state of fashion sense that so many people cannot distinguishly dress themselves beyond a pair of "dungarees" and a T-shirt. (And to go upscale, they just buy more expensive jeans and more expensive T-shirts.) It's real tunnelvision and a sheep mentality for some folks -- and it doesn't have to be that way.

Casual Friday has become casual everyday. Long live dressing like a man of style. At least this is something they still get in much of Italy, despite the enroachment of the expensive jeans culture.

I agree with you, Greg. I'm only 19 years old though and you cant expect me to go to school dressed in a suit. Everytime I get the opportunity to dress in something besides jeans I do, because it gets tiring.
Its ironic that maybe the most expensive jeans in the World (Diesel, DG, Armani) come from Italy though

That you're thinking about this at age 19 is cool to me, IMO.

Certainly, jeans are the expected and most accessible attire choice. It's all I generally wore at 19 unless I was required for work, a wedding, or some other event. But the truth is there's a lot more out there than jeans -- and jeans all the time can be so one dimensional, as you note.

And if someone is 19 and dumping hundreds of dollars on just one pair of jeans, they could easily get a great pair of "non-jeans" pants for that price. Not necessarily bow-tie-and-tux, but something that is classy, has clean design lines, fits extremely well, and might even fool people into believing you're a person of culture and taste. ;)

To spend $300 on jeans has become, to me, like dumping all of your money to trick out your Honda Civic... when you could instead buy a nice BMW for the same price.

It's better on the East Coast of the US, for example, than it is out West here. People are casual all the time in California, where you see people still dressing up for an evening out in places like New York. About the only place to see people dress up in SF anymore is the opera ... I've even been to the symphony where most of the people showed up as if they just got out of the gym.

I'll take your challenge Andrew. This fall you and I will enter a bar. I will rock my Levis and you can wear you Diesels and your fancy watch. Whoever leaves the bar with the most number or a woman wins. You game fancy pants?
Dude, seriously, you should just forfeit right now.

I mean seriously, there's no competition.

It's so much more fun wearing nice dress pants and making other kids look trashy :D

You have to admit though, Diesel jeans are much better than Levis. I believe I only had a couple pairs of Levis when I was young and I absolutely hated them. And when you're 21 and attending bars every other night it certainly does not hurt to be wearing those Diesels instead of your Levis along with the Skyhawk watch..

YOu talk like you pull pussy all the time.

How many girls have you slept with compared to me?

exactly.....0wn3d.

Not true at all, you could easily wear a pair of sweatpants to "school" everytime you went, or wear a trash bag every single place you go, so don't give me that nonsense.

Why would I want to wear sweatpants or a trash bag though? Arent we talking about wearing better clothes than jeans?
