yeah i kind of guessed that today, hey andy big game tomorrow. you think your boys can do a job and beat ghana? will be a big ask to get the turnaround in goals that you need but anything is possible. however you lack a real goalscorer and this could be the problem.

Well we have a good goalscorer in Eddie Johnson, however Bruce likes fielding one striker and continues to use McBride. I think it's time for him to deploy Johnson instead and drop Brian to the bench, or perhaps even use two strikers instead. However, I like the system we are currently running with Dempsey and Convey on the flanks, and perhaps Beasley will get the start on the left now after his little debacle and subsequent improvement during the Italia match.
Just like against all the sides we have faced, we must clog the midfield because that is where Ghana does their dirty work. We clogged the pitch against Italy and it worked, and if we want to win against the Ghanaians we must shut down Appiah and Essien and take the game to them. Putting the ball in the net will be crucial, and watch out for Dempsey being the star of the show...he will run at the Ghana defense all damn day.
Either that or he's at a Burger King eating a wopper, trying to become a wopper, because he finally realized he's not.

i feel sorry for McBride as he is a good honest pro, a hard working team player. lord kknows scotland have fielded enough of them over the last 6-8 years since our last real goalscorer McCoist retired.
teh problem is that team USA need goals and i fear he is just not up to it at this level, well at least not consistently. i thought that johnston loked really sharp and lively and gave your lot a new dimention so perhaps it is finally his time to start and, maybe, make himself a hero.
anyway good luck with this game and hopefully italy can do you a favour by beating the czechs who look lost with no focal point up top
