Actually because our laws regulate such things he cannot be in office any longer than 2008. Even this year, there will be giant changes in our government. What's great about or system is that it doesn't allow idiots to stay in control for too long.

If you make a ratio for the people killed during those 8 years because of his regime, it will tell you that those 8 years were like centuries for some people on this Earth...

Anyway, I don't think it will get any better in the future even if the characters were changed...

I will take the Iraq criticism because that was indeed a mistake and of course I disagree with the action. However, I abhor when people criticise us for invading Afghanistan and taking the Taliban out of power. That place was nothing but a sanctuary for terrorists and terrible living before we went on our mission after September 11th, and now Afghanistan is slowly being expunged of terrorists and idiots who caused their own people suffering. There is no argument as to why we should have not invaded Afghanistan because, afterall, it was logically the place to start to make a first strike against Al Qaeda.
I'm more than happy to see the Taleban ousted. But, why did the US invade Afghanistan? To help the people and save them from suffering? NO! To oust the taleban because they were behind 9/11? NO!

Anyone who has anything agains this, is because of one reason. The US supported the Mujaheddin agains the Soviets, and when the "mission" was complete, they left, leaving Afghanistan in the Middle Ages, literally. What do you get? The birth of Osama bin Laden and a people with great resentment.

Some 30 years later, you go in to oust the same Mujaheddin, aka Freedom Fighters, who now are "Terrorists".

All I am saying is that Z denied the stated reasons for the Afghani invasion, then stated some background history, without getting to a proper conclusion of why the Americans are really there:p

Andy .. you are an idiot if you think that dissing the US national team equates to dissing the nation...the sad state of soccer in our country coupled with the overblown media reports on the US team and FIFA rankings shines at the World Cup....No one gives two sh*ts about the game and the ones that do claim that home grown players must grow in the MLS and not in Europe..the result is that we have Landon Donovan's who are legends at home and third rate subs at best when they face the rest of the world...

P.S. Grow the fvck up .. stop crying ANTI-AMERICAN because someone criticized the team....

By your rationale I can saw you don't give a sh*t about your nation because you don't care about their water polo team
The thing is, Nick, is that all you do is bash our football, just like Europeans bash our soccer, just like 90% of the world bashes our government, just like the baseball fag journalists who write how soccer supposedly sucks. I do not have a problem with criticism coming from various sources, but when a supposed American never says anything positive about our soccer and waits for the opportunity to bash us, that is where the line has to be drawn. Of course the fact you know very little about our own league does not really help matters, and I'm sure you think Project 40 is nothing besides an old group of slums in New Rochelle.

Criticism is fine with me, however if all you ever do is criticise and wait for an opportunity to say "I told you so, you lot suck," while at the same time admitting you don't even follow our soccer in the states, you work your way down the respect-o-meter.

Oh, this is so fucking redundant.

Yes, the United States is currently the bully of the free world. We know this, and contrary to what most foreigners believe, the majority of us are not too proud of that assumption/stereotype.

Believe me, when I went to Montreal last week, I had received possibly the chilliest reception I had ever come across in a city that I am quite frankly, in love with.

It wasn't a very enjoyable time, and I felt that I was treated rather unfairly.

change of subject a bit but want to get you guys views on this....
day of reckoning is upon us but i cant see the soca warriors upsetting england. the only thing i have to ask though is that if rooney does not make it what sort of imapct will that have on the english psyche? if they rush him back and he breaks down injured again (by the way i seriously think this will happen) how will the english squad react? sven's demeanour, his abject desire to have "the boy wonder" playing in the group stages (to the anger of sir alex) smacks of desperation. how will the rest of the squad feel when they all know that in svens eyes they are only good enough to win the world cup with rooney in the team.
if rooney gets injured sven has no real plan B and he obviously feels that rooney is the only player capable of leading the team to glory. how must stevie g,englands most consistant performer this season, joe cole, the maverick who had to adjust his game, frank lampard, etc etc all feel when they are the envy of most managers in the competition...but not their own

by the way i know i go on about not liking the england team but i do have a massive amount of respect for them, the media are responsible for most of the ill feeling. you guys think your analysis teams are poor? during the holland-S+M game at half time they wasted 7 minutes talking about england, they finally got back on subject and it was hijacked by that wannabe english prat of a scotsman allan hanson into an england discussion again, add to this martin "forgot what i was talking about" o'neill and throw into the mixer ian "my son should be at the world cup" wright who during the summarisingof the italy game was asked his opinion and he said "i dont care i only care about england" and he gets paid for this............

It's a real pain trying to read your posts, you should try to structure them a little better.

Like this for instance.

Oh dear god. Coming from a police man that's just horrible.

This effectively means that if you see some guy getting beaten the shit out of him you go (and we take a dangerous leap into Vinni's big ass brain here:

"Do I know him?"
"Do I live in his neighbourhood?"
"Do I have any connection to him whatsoever?"

The answer is NO to all the above questions. So not only should I NOT help the guy, it's also NOT RIGHT for me to help the guy.

I dont know why I'm even responding, but I'll clear things up this way....

what you asked has NOTHING to do with your analogy, so stop trying to bring my job into it...you have no other comeback so you take that road

its old and played out, so give it a rest

another reason to dislike Bruce Arena, the grand poobah of USA soccer....

from channel4-

Arena expects Italy Catenaccio Wednesday 14 June, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

USA Coach Bruce Arena claims Italy will play defensively on Saturday, but Fabio Grosso warns not to underestimate the Americans.

“Italy are one of the easiest teams in the world to scout and one of the hardest to play against,” said the experienced tactician after his side was crushed 3-0 by the Czech Republic.

Despite the fact the Azzurri need to top Group E if they hope to avoid Brazil in the Second Round, Arena remains convinced by the ‘Catenaccio’ cliché.

“Italy is a structured team that plays the same system from year to year. It’s a cleaner team to analyze. Their strengths are not going to deviate. They're now definitely in tournament mode. They have three points and would gladly go home Saturday with four in the bank. They're not going to be opening themselves up too much Saturday.”

Arena, however, is going to make changes to his side following their disappointing performance against the Czechs and singled out some of his star players for some stinging criticism.

"That's the worst I've seen our team play in a long time. We got nothing from DaMarcus Beasley. If he's any kind of a player and a man, he understands that. If he doesn't, he's not going to be able to help us in games two or three, either."

It’s expected that Eddie Johnson and midfielder John O’Brien will be drafted in from the start, pushing Beasley and Pablo Mastroeni on to the bench. Landon Donovan also came in for criticism and should move to a deeper role.

Italy are the favourites to grab another victory, but Palermo full-back Grosso is wary of the US threat.

“It would be a terrible mistake for us to under-estimate them, as they cannot afford to fail again,” said the defender. “We have to be careful, as there is no such thing as an easy game in the World Cup.”

Grosso probably won’t get to play on Saturday, as he’ll make way for the returning Gianluca Zambrotta, who has now fully recovered from a muscular problem.

“We all happy that he is getting back to full fitness as, just like Gennaro Gattuso, he is a champion and we need them in the side. Individuals aren’t important if the team wins. I am ready to accept any decision the Coach makes. Our objective is to confirm the good work we did against Ghana over the next two matches, hoping of course that there will be more tests for us in this World Cup.”

yes, Italy is going to be soooo... afraid of the USA offense, which showed absolutely NOTHING on monday

get a clue, Brucie...Italy wants the full 3 points

I guess he didnt see the Italy-Ghana game...he must have been too busy passing out tissue boxes after their game...but if he had, he would have noticed that Italy wasnt exactly playing catenaccio

well vinny think we got it figured out, old brucey here got caught out by watching 20 year old videos of his opponents. he probably wondered why the czech republic turned up instead of czechoslovakia, thinks ghana will turn up with paper football boots and that paolo rossi will be no threat up front as he has not played for 2 years due to a betting scandal

I sincerely doubt Arena really thinks Italy use such a style. He scouted them himself during a bunch of friendlies and I'm fairly certain he knows that this Italian side plays quite differently from those of previous years. This interview right here is probably nothing more than just a typical media smokescreen in which Bruce is trying to throw people off track. I still have faith in his abilities despite the loss Monday.

If he seriously believes Italy will play with catenaccio, I should be the National Team coach.
