that is bollocks. the beautiful game was ruined years ago by all the big clubs. chelsea are just lucky to pick the fruits from the trees that other clubs planted 10-15 years ago. moggi\'s thuggish tactics were ruining italian football for more than ten years. i didnt you comlaining, and judging from your nick you were admiring that.

Players going to chelsea firstly for the money then to win things. Thats why i admire Arsene wenger who has a Great team spirit at Arsenal. Chelsea will Never win the premiership in the style of the Gunners!

Arsene Wenger is truly the best coach around!
come on,whats the difference between chelsea and the likes of milan, real madrid and to a certain extent inter who have had the money and controlled transfers for years??these big clubs have bought up all the best players for years with a massive deficit between them and the other clubs in the leagues in the pusuit of glory.
the only difference is that now the mon ey ios a bit tighter at the top clubs and chelsea are paying silly money for every 5 minute sensation just in case they get the new rooney and then topping it up with world class names...sounds a bit like real madrids signing strategy. the pity with inter is they ahve a massive transfer fuind every year and thnk this means they should revolutionise the team every year rather than consolodating

No....when a player states two months ago \"I will retire with Milan\" and a month and a half ago states \"Ancelotti will be my manager for the next few years\" and then pulls what he does...sorry but even though there is anger I have to utter the word \"mercenary\"....with all due respect to Chelsea...in CL they have accomplished sweet fvck all...Milan has reached 3 of 4 semi finals in the last 4 years
i can see the exact opposite happening in next 4 years though.

Exactly, instead of taking time to become great, they jumpstart themselves.

I am really worried about Italy.. the last 2 friendly´s Italy looked not inspired, they played not good, I hope that they did not play 100%.. somehow I feel DP is outa form..
Nothing to worry about, Alan....I think Italy is the only team that had a real test before the WC unlike the others...(England, Brazil etc)...I still think Del Piero and Totti will do Okay in their first game incase they were given the green light to start. It's very important that Lippi do start them both against Ghana.

Yet from what I read on Channel4, he could be leaving both of them out and field Pirlo-De Rossi-Gattuso-Camo and the two attackers Gila-Toni.

VERY bad Idea If you ask me. Hopefully Lippi is bigger than taking these silly decisions and wont go for them.

I agree, to go to a bigger club is a career move, nothing more.

He is in no way a mercenary.

Nick is just mad about him leaving.

I am in no way mad about Ballack leaving, he wanted to win the CL, and at 29, he would not in the next 4 years with Bayern.
burkey i admire your honesty in your assessment of the siyuation. however as a bayern fan it must pain you to see this current crop of players fail to scvale the heights of pervious years and not see and hope on the horizon

That's just another silly channel4 translation. Lippi simply used that formation in an 11 against 11 training in one half. Doesn't mean he's going to start with that formation.

Ok let chelsea buy everyone and set the standards of handing out 200k a week on wages you moron! thats my point. They are paying rediculous amount of money on wages etc. Moggi had no choice to do what he had to in the trnsfer market simply cos Juventus never spent big! or more that they never had the money. Were are going on about Moggi being thuggish etc..... But Most of the big clubs in Europe are doing the dirty behind closed doors simply to gain some kind of advantage its just natural. Moggi just got busted and your one of those guys on the bandwagon giving it mouth as usual. Arsenal are doing the dirty. Real are the kings of dirt. So dont try to be a smart alec here cos you aint nothing rudeboy! :disagree:

I agree Moggi did wrong and im not happy about it, but im sure he isnt the only one at it.

Agreed.

Anyhow how would your formation look like upfront?

Good question. DP's been looking kind of slow and Totti isn't really fit yet. Besides I think a lot of the options would be just fine.
- DP with Camo behind the strikers ala vs Germany works well
- Totti behind two strikers, one of the strikers could ofcourse be DP.
- DP- Totti- Camoranesi behind a lone striker.

I think Lippi is leaning towards the last option, as he played them against the Swiss.
