Honest question here, Nick. I've noticed what, from my perspective, seems like a tendency for Italians to label players by their international identities far more than footie followers in other countries. The foreign flags in the stands of clubs for one, representing the nationalities of the fans' favorite club players. But also things like Italian calcio announcers frequently calling players by their nationality -- e.g., I often hear "il ucranio" uttered more than I would hear "Sheva" (length of name aside, this is very true with other examples as well).

    Would you agree with that?
Yes I would agree...but I don't think it implies anything or says somethign about Italians i.e. being un accepting, etc.
The Curva adored Sheva and had like 5 - 10 chants for him (only Baresi and Maldini have more) and three times as many permanent banners everything from "King of the East" to "TZAR"...one of the chants mentions how he is not Brazilian but scores nonetheless..something like that.
A common site in Curva's is a flag from the star player's nation such as Brazil and Ukraine for Milan (for the longest time Holland)...however, players are accepted as their own and expected to speak the language. (italian)

It's prep work for the coming midterm elections. Time for people to get out their pet trivial issue posturing on bizarre priorities like it's network TV sweeps week. (Funny that immigration suddenly has become this urgent issue out of nowhere?? 9/11, for example, was almost 4 years ago...)
Well, in some ways this immigration discussion is more important than gay marriage, considering illegal immigrants supposedly "run" our country. Then throw in border control regulation and you have something to seriously talk about within our government. But none of this is of much importance when looking at other current events flooding the White House desks...Bush seemingly keeps pushing them aside towards the paper shredder, however.

Seven was shown a yellow card for a post towards another member (one whose worth here is essentially nothing) and was subsequently shown a red card for going over the 10 point limit.

Stickyicky was banned as well for numerous insulting and offtopic posts.

Thanks a lot Bayern........letting another class young defender go to the League of Fags.
Well at least you lot were able to grab Van Buyten, however if I were you, I would have bought out Onyewu as well. But would he secure a starting role over Lucio and Van Buyten? Probably not.

I just am going to answer this question for him since it is just of lower class for him to answer this: No.

But somehow he always finds his way to threads about religion. Like I said before, it's seemingly an addiction for Andries.

its a pity because he is a smart kid with some good ideas about football in general but seems to be a complete bigot, which tbh i dont care about but he should consider his tact in the way he attacks some people

Seven asked me to post this. And, showing absolutely no sense of judgment, I'm actually doing it :disagree:

"I've heard about these so called Free-will Baptists that run around the American South and looked into what it is exactly that they believe in. It turns out that free will is not one of them, and is in fact a deadly sin. These fuckers need to be dragged out into the streets of every town and gunned down like the animals they are. Kill 'em, kill 'em, kill 'em all."

Man, I sure hope Nesta gets over that thiegh strain before the Ghana match on June 12.

Nick, this is why you are so angry with Sheva.

Nobody has ever said, "I want to leave Milan because some of my prostitutes prefer London". You just cannot relate at this point in time.
Nor do I want to...if I was making 9 million euros a year + my boss who was also the Italian PM was the Godfather to my son + saved my father's life giving him the best medical care in the world and my wife said we need to speak English at home I would hire English landscapers, butlers, house maids, mistresses, cleaners and get Anthony Hopkins as my tutor....if my wife kept biatching at that point I would show her my collection of Goomah's (mistresses) :pint:
