I've been trying to digest all of the information that I've been reading over the past few days, and my opinion on this is that this doesn't shock or surprise me, to be honest.

If you take a look at the past couple of seasons, can anyone honestly say that Juventus was a better team than Milan, or some other squads on paper?? Not really. I can't sit here and tell you that Juve was the superior team, and to be frank, there were a lot of times where they certainly didn't play like it. Moggi has always had a reputation of attempting to do things on the sly, and when everyone was laughing at Gaucci a couple of years ago and accusing him of being "off his rocker", well, come to find out, he knew where the smoke was, and where there's smoke, well......................................you know the rest.


So, what is proper punishment for this squad?? Genoa was relegated just for accusations of ONE fixed match, so where do you think that leaves Juve??

In a whole world of trouble, I would think.


Now, people would say that there is no way that the FIGC would relegate Juventus to Serie B, because they are too important to Italian Football. Well, I believe that's the PERFECT reason to do so, to show the rest of Italy and Europe that such heavy-handed practices will not be tolerated.

Will it Suck??? Of course it will, but that's life. If Italian football is better for it in the long run, then that is exactly what it takes.

My heart goes out to a lot of these players, especially Alex. He doesn't deserve this, and if he leaves, I certainly wouldn't blame him.

And as far as this investigation goes, here's hoping they question the people who allegedly committed the crimes, and not those who brought it to the forefront

But this is the campionato we're talking about, where Milan finds a way to lose interest and ultimately the game against Lecce ... and yet Juve doesn't seem to let their guard down or lose their motivation as much against lesser teams.

Of course, you could argue that the "letting down" against lesser teams has more to do with payoffs than with performance. But then I've watched many of those games where Juve ground it out with lesser teams while Milan looked disinterested.

They're awesome. I only wish they made them as flat shoes also, so I could wear them around as normal shoes. I would buy 5 pairs in that case, unfortunately I don't play football anymore, so they're a bit pointless

I completely agree there's a major incongruence with how this team performed in the CL and how they performed in Serie A ... in aggregate. But it's a different story when I think about them head-to-head.

We couldn't beat Milan this year in the campionato, and that would have been clear in the CL as well. And while we may have defeated Inter twice in Serie A this season, we lost and drew matches against them last year that, IMO, we really should have won for all purposes.

Not making excuses. Just that for the past two seasons, in head-to-head play, I would have to say Milan had the better team. But the Scudetto is more than head-to-head competition against your biggest rivals... it's about not letting your guard down with the Serie A minnows as well. And that's typically what tripped up Milan the past two seasons. (Though the Moggi conspiratorial theorists would say that's by "design".)

I have a feeling Del Piero will stay with the club no matter what, and help secure our promotion back to Serie A within a few seasons before he retires. The guy loves Juventus, and with Capello leaving I don't see a reason for him to exit the same door.

Actually, they don't come with cleats at all, you buy those seperately and put them in. I can't imagine having plastic shoe souls is too comfortable, though

I don't know how you guys find it very acceptable to demote Juventus to serie B, I mean are they all involved in this? weren't all players of Juve innocent in this? and the rest of Juve directors? isn't this thing bigger than a match fixing?

I think Juventus (as a club), should be excluded from this "Moggi system", or be treated as equally as all clubs are invloved, it's not the Juventus organisation is doing this System, it's the Moggi who is part of that unknown organisation that is doing all this mess.

The bottom line, is that it seems that the club cheated. Did the players cheat? No, but then again they are not punishing the players directly, they will be punishing the club. The players will be free to go if Juve is relegated

And I find it very hard to believe that the powers that be at Juventus didn't at least have an inclination that something was going on. Do you really think that Moggi would do this on his own?? If that is indeed the case, the Mr. Moggi is a far more evil man than his detractors have painted him out to be.
