It's the I know this guy, I work for, my uncle part that make us doubt these guys but like you said, if he's a Juventino and posts regularly on that site....

somebody mentionned there that they should make a banner saying "Don't leave us alone". Pretty sad man.

again, I ask, who do you guys think it is, and why ??
He says he knows Alessio Secco.

As for why, well you tell me, why would a Juventino that seems to a loyal one and is a regular in Delle Alpi make up something like that.

I am trying not to believe it but at the same time, I am not finding a reason not to.

Turmoil Shakes Italian Soccer Amid Scandal
By FRANCES D'EMILIO, Associated Press Writer
Sat May 13, 3:43 PM ET

ROME - Italian soccer was engulfed by turmoil Saturday when a World Cup referee's accreditation was withdrawn after he was implicated in a game-fixing scandal, and star goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was questioned by prosecutors for suspected illegal betting.

The scandals were denounced by the Vatican as an "offense to sports" and an "offense to the joy of childhood."

Buffon's team, Juventus, said the goalie "presented himself of his own volition to magistrates," but didn't say what he told prosecutors. Italy's World Cup team will be announced Monday, and his status is in doubt.

"If I had to sum things up, not in a legal sense, but sportswise, I would like to say that Gianluigi Buffon's World Cup isn't at risk," the player's lawyer, Luigi Chiappero, said in a TV interview.

Buffon gambled on tennis, horse racing and non-Italian soccer games but stopped when that practice was banned last year, the lawyer told Italian media.

The Italian soccer federation said it sent letters to FIFA and European soccer authorities to rescind the accreditations of referee Massimo De Santis and linesmen Alessandro Griselli and Marco Ivaldi, plus those for Paolo Bergamo and Pierluigi Pairetto, who were to assign game officials at the monthlong World Cup, which begins June 9 in Germany. De Santis won't be replaced at the tournament.

"Instead of 23 referees, there will be 22 referees," FIFA spokesman Andreas Herren said.

Prosecutors in Naples, Rome, Parma and Turin are conducting investigations ranging from game-fixing to illegal betting. Naples prosecutors said Friday they are investigating four Serie A clubs — Juventus, Lazio, AC Milan and Fiorentina — for alleged game-fixing that could implicate "top names."

"We're absolutely confident that we are in no way involved in this affair," industrialist Diego Della Valle, whose family owns Fiorentina, said at a news conference Saturday. "We're asking the prosecutors to do really thorough work and not to leave anything untouched, and to be as fast as possible."

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani, president of the Italian soccer league, told the Italian news agency ANSA: "What I care most about is reassuring our fans. It hurts to be involved, even if marginally or not at all. It's very sad, because we haven't done anything."

The Vatican, in its newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, described the scandals as "an offense to sports and to its values. The earthquake which is turning the world of soccer upside down is an offense to the joy of childhood."

Juventus seeks its second straight league title Sunday. The team's entire board resigned Thursday, including managing director Antonio Giraudo and general director Luciano Moggi, who are being investigated for allegedly trying to influence referee appointments.

Italian news organizations printed what they said were transcripts of wiretapped conversations in which Moggi brags that he once locked referees in a locker room for not assuring Juventus victory.

"They would have to break down the door to get out," Moggi was quoted as saying in one excerpt.

Prosecutors are investigating claims that Moggi pressured Italy coach Marcello Lippi to call up players represented by his son Alessandro's agent group. Lippi's son, Davide, also works for GEA World, which controls more than half of Italy's Serie A players.

"It's almost enough to make you ashamed of being Italian," said Bologna's former president, Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara. "They controlled the Italian soccer season."

Moggi and Giraudo also were being investigated for possible involvement in kidnapping after Reggina beat Juventus in November 2004, ANSA reported.

The Italian soccer federation, whose president Franco Carraro resigned this week, is conducting its own investigation. A government-appointed commissioner for the soccer federation will be announced Tuesday, according to news reports

Sale in macchina e va via

As much as I'd like to join the party I think that this time you guys are on your own...Milan has been the only team to face the accusations head on minus the resignations (surely guilty verdict) or no comment (Lazio and All)...Galliani has a point when he states "how can the victim be the accused?" Moggi had journalists on his pay roll that played down the calls in Juve's favour and downplayed Milan's game (Tosatti and Biscardi are on the list).

MILANELLO - Adriano Galliani said: 'I want our fans to stay calm. It's disappointing to be involved even if it's marginally or nothing. I am very disappointed because we have done nothing, we are transparent and we will demonstrate it. I am very disappointed for the fans. I fell off a cloud yesterday and I am very angry today. To make matters clear, a member of the board of directors, Avv.Leandro Cantamessa will say a few words.'

What lawyer Cantamessa had to say: 'I have been involved in this situation in sport for many years and when I see it I am very disturbed. Milan are the victims here. It's improbable to go from victim to culprit. I have overseen the matter in an objective way and you just need to read certain phrases, it's not necessary to be a lawyer.' Galliani added: 'Cantamessa has told me not to say anything otherwise I will become the head of the fans. I certainly feel like a victim but Cantamessa told me not to say that. I leave it to the conscience of everyone to establish who is guilty and who is the victim. Some our saying we are guilty. The fans know Milan is the victim, however, I have to stay quiet. It's a pity La Repubblica put my photo along with the others who are being investigated and wrote three marriages and three children. That's really nice ...'

Cantamessa went on: 'When I have said that not there is need to be lawyers, it is in order to understand the issue and judge for yourself, for this will have to be alert. Good sense has to be used and then the only conclusion is that Milan have done nothing. It often happens in lots of enquiries that they go in many directions. Here, however, we have a stain on the sporting character. The title has already been consigned to Inter, and Milan are considered relegated, this is what has been written without having everything clear.'

TBH, I heard the exact same kinds of statements in the past 24 hours from the delle Valles of Fiorentina.

I do not believe Del Piero would move on to another club. Why would he want to do that? His home is at Juventus and with Capello finally removed he will no longer have to move on to another club. Pessotto would obviously stay with the club and perhaps players such as Balzaretti, however for some reason I doubt Thuram would stay on board. Zambrotta is a question mark but I believe he would stay on as well and help us win promotion within one season. Players such as Emerson and Vieira would undoubtedly be gone with the wind and Zlatan as well as his lovers would find another home for themselves.

This is, of course, for demotion to Serie B. As Pado already stated, demotion to Serie C would be whole different story. However, I still believe Del Piero would be loyal to this club. Di Livio with La Viola anyone?
in total agreement with you on del piero, pesotto would stay they are part of our life blood, also think nedved might be tempted to stay on and help to restore us to the top. emerson, vieira, canavarro, trz would move as they would not want to be playing in a lower division. balzaretti will go as the only reason he is at juve is due to torino's problems so i see him having no qualms about leaving us either. however i would hate to see zambrotta or any of our other heroes playing at inter, i feel that with the strong assosiations they have with juve there is more chance they would play in serie b than betray us by going to inter, like i siad in the del piero thread, where would they go...inter?roma?they would rather play ina mikey mouse league than at a mikey mouse club

@ Nick - I think the whole press silence was a good move, rather than blatantly denying everything e.g. Galliani - style, to then be proven guilty.

and about Moggi's "hanging", isn't that a bit drastic? in all these years you'll tell me you never had a hint of his wrong-doings? now that there's "evidence" however, we're all shocked and repulsed by the actions of this "evil" little man. and he's not even been convicted yet.

no we are not shocked at all, for years we have laughed and joked about moggi's shady dealings and that is why we are willing to acceppt the punishment but if the rumours are true about the destination of these players then the world has truly kicked us in the ass

**p.s. yess the hanging is drastic but we are not serious, we would need more rope for teh rest of the board
