that was a typo, and please don't try to correct my spellings, you don't exactly possess a doctoral in English.
Actually, in English, it's Turin, but that's a minor thing.

Guys, chill. :cool2:

Can someone tell me the point of playing out the last games today and handing Juve the scudetto and the gall of Moggi to attend the game..that is a slap in the face to fans all over Italy proclaiming himself above the law.
Nick, the alternative of not playing these matches was hardly better, was it? Have to admit, Moggi has some gall though.

More on Turin, in Piemontese it is Turin but in Italian it is Torino. I learned that last week.

Wiretaps on Moggi's phone calls have demonstrated that he had discussions with Pairetto (who was former head of the officials in Italy) and often discussed what refs would be placed on certain games .. both Juve games and teams Juve was about to play ... furthermore he scolded him for certain calls for other teams and against Juve and commended him on the refs doing a "good job on Juve games"..Apparently Moggi was also able to secure refs for some CL matches for Juve...
Moggi also had certain journalists on his payroll to downplay the good calls Juve got in games...in one conversation he asks Domenica Sportiva editorialist Giorgio Tossati to downplay a MIlan player getting taken down in the box without a call..Tossati agrees and suggests he will instead bring up a Nesta foul...
More interesting tidbits about Moggi pushing players his son (the agent) represented on Lippi for the National Team...
Oh yeah apart from that Buffon, Chimenti, Maresca and Iuliano I believe were placing bets on Serie A matches...
OH yeah in one game Moggi locked the ref Paparesta in a room after the game for making a bad call on Juve and then left for the airport locking Paparesta in the room for hours ...

more stuff but I'm too tired to write Sergio ... :pint:

nick if you think your precious little team is innocent than you show naivity

The latest I heard is that Juve could lose the last 2 scudetto's and be out of Europe for a while as well as be demoted.

What a disgusting end to the season....I preached about these days for years and never thought it would come but now I feel no satisfaction and actually sheer disgust at the system for letting it go on.
I have to agree with mikhail here. The majority of teams were not named, and they would have been punished not on due process but on the expectation of things that haven't been through due process nor decided yet. And with the FIFA deadline tomorrow...

The league has demonstrated its ability to enforce punishments retroactively. If it sets a precedent that it will suspend its actions without due process, it opens itself up to (and encourages) lunatic rivals to abuse the system with false accusations made with the intent of suspending play. That's supporting anarchy if anything.

As much as I tease Juventino's about it..it WILL Not happen....for $$ reasons....Serie A cannot survive financially with one dominating team next year and I see Juve managament pulling their hands up saying 'it was all the triade' and not us .. why should we be punished for things we 'did not know'.

THey will strip a scudetto before they relegate them
I tend to agree here...we will not be relegated, whether we are guilty as hell or not

I also dont think any scudetti will be taken away from us

I think there are too many "influential" people backing Juve, and the most that may happen is a hefty fine...thats it

not to mention that this whole fiasco probably involves more than 8 or 9 teams...what will they do, demote half the damn division ???

I am very proud of our players. I admire them greatly for their ability to put this firestorm out of their heads for 90 minutes and play the perfect match that they needed to play to ensure that they were never in danger of letting the championship slip away.

@ Nick - I agree with you that Moggi should have stayed home, stayed far away from the stadium and even further away from the tv cameras. Thankfully he did not get on stage to accept the trophy.

I disagree with you about Gila's blatant dive. It was disgusting, as was Kaladze's (which was not awarded with a PK). The second PK you received did involve a shirt pull, but the first was one of the worst calls of the year.

That said, the referees in the two main matches today had impossible jobs to do. In Juve's match the ref was great. He resisted awarding Juve a PK on a handball and it was the right thing to do. I'm sure Juve was not going to get any gifts today, and that is also correct. However, Roma was robbed today. Up and down the pitch, all the calls went in Milan's favor. Not that it matters, as Juve won its match.

tell me, how that has got to do anything with juventus fc per se or corruption in calcio? all i see is fucked up journalism. thats all.

im not arguing about your other points. if we're proven guilty, off with the titles then, off to b, and moggi to jail for all i care.

congratulations everyone. for the time being campioni di italia siamo noi.

I don't know about you guys, but i find some big PRO's to being demoted to Serie B (maybe as a way of lifting morale but anyway).
Firstly, and in my opinion most importantly, a catharsis will take place within the squad, which means that we will no longer be Italy's black sheep. When the rain starts to fall in the campionato, all the haters will have to point their dirty little fingers' elsewhere, hopefully Milan/Inter. Secondly, goodbye to mercenaries with no love for the team (or the game) e.g. Ibrahimovic, Capello, and so on. This will lead to more passionate players within the squad, which subsequently leads to better football and higher achievements. Thirdly, we get to use more of our youth squad, in which we will discover someone with talent before sending him off to another squad and then regretting it 5 years later when he's the top scorer in another league.
And finally, i hope Nike f*cks off when we're in Serie B, so we don't have our stripes taken off. As they say, every thorn has its rose.

you are at risk of losing both titles and we may find ourselves rightfully getting back TWO SCUDETTOS within the next 30 days
Now, now. Nick, why would Milan think that they would receive those two Scudetti? If stripped, then both will be merely vacated, with no champion. If the Championship is irregular then it is irregular top to bottom, and nobody can declare themselves a winner.

Silvio also wants his Prime Minister title restored, but that ain't going to happen either. :disagree:

My concern is that I don't think you can ever assuage the victimhood mentality that goes on in Serie A. Inter will always need an excuse to cover for their failures, for example, and if that means they have to wait for Juve to return to Serie A to use them as a scapegoat, they will. Romanisti, etc., all the same. No question in my mind.

With the titles the team already has, I don't think there will every be any appeasing of anyone...

I see benefits to relegation (and a massive amount of downside in the short-term). But this is not one of them.
