Yes, Dominck, if our demotion is only to Serie B, then I would expect over half of our current squad to stay, including ALL of the Italians. However, if our demotion were to be to Serie C, then all bets would be off.

I think we will need to bring back Di Livio for those days...

I think the demotion to Serie C is far fetched.

Yeah? Well I thought Belgian kids punching their fathers in the face for some pot was far fetched.
Let me clarify my point of view.

The doping trial took a long time and we got away with it. This trial has to come up with a verict in a much shorter time. This is a much stronger case and if the evidence is provided we won't escape demotion (and I really hope we don't get away with cheating this time).

Considering the strength of Juve, they will work on accepting the penalty but only to Serie B. The more I think of it the more I wonder how will I watch Serie B games next season.

Decision to send Juve to B will not be handed down by a Judge but the league....the criminal case involves sports fraud...those consequences will be TIME for Lucky Luciano and Teflon Don Giraudo...

Juve to B is just as far fetched as Juve to C...trust me.

Only certain things for next season are:

    - Juve wearing a scudetto patch.
    - Sheva wearing a Chelsea jersey.
    - Inter being the 'team to watch' come August

I would be certainly disgusted if we get yet another time with a cheating scandal.

The thing is (from what I know), an investigation doesn't have to lead to a trial in Italy. Even if there's a full blown set of charges and suspects. There are other ways of solving these things.

But it's been several years since I've read some articles about the Italian legal system so I could be off. This is typically the type of knowledge that ought to be refreshed frequently.

It took all of 6 minutes for the FIGC to convict Genoa and Venezia of fixing a Serie B match.

But that's Genoa and Venezia in a Serie B match. You tell me how long did the doping trial take.

When the news started to float the surface, it was you who mentioned how the justice (you named a person then) won't be glad to work with their old nemesis.

Do you honestly expect some players to remain? Pessotto at max might stay at Juventus. But only because he's near ending his football carreer. Players like Zambrotta, who are in their prime, would very unlikely 'waste' their abilities playing in Serie B (or even lower). Even Del Piero would probably move on to another club. I'd expect the Juve management to also accept any offers for those players, to help build a squad to get back to Serie A.
I do not believe Del Piero would move on to another club. Why would he want to do that? His home is at Juventus and with Capello finally removed he will no longer have to move on to another club. Pessotto would obviously stay with the club and perhaps players such as Balzaretti, however for some reason I doubt Thuram would stay on board. Zambrotta is a question mark but I believe he would stay on as well and help us win promotion within one season. Players such as Emerson and Vieira would undoubtedly be gone with the wind and Zlatan as well as his lovers would find another home for themselves.

This is, of course, for demotion to Serie B. As Pado already stated, demotion to Serie C would be whole different story. However, I still believe Del Piero would be loyal to this club. Di Livio with La Viola anyone?

I am sure that more than Alex would stay with the team in Serie B, but Serie C is close to a disaster.
