Seven, Serie B is just punishment for a club that bought match officials, certainly. But if Moggi only requested certain officials for pre-season FRIENDLIES such as the Berlusconi Cup and TIM Cup, then no punishment is deserved.

Perhaps Moggi suggested to the head of refs that a promising young rookie named The Pado should be assigned to the Berlusconi Cup because this guy has a great future in the game and he needs to get big match experience in a hurry. No bigger match than Juve vs. Milan, even if it is a pre-season friendly, so throw him in at the deep end at a time when the result matters not.
I'm not saying anything is proved or that is clear Juventus are guilty. What I can conclude however is that this is:

a) not the first scandal Juventus are in
b) not the first scandal Moggi is in
c) that we all laugh about Moggi's dark side when it comes to transfers, but we all keep quiet about it when things like this pop up

That is a lame and sad excuse to justify Juve's history with banned substances and ten year old allegations of favortism...this excuse is about as predictable as the bitch and moaning...
Maybe some of you including yourself Greg should know your Serie A history...teams including Milan have been severely sanctioned for things far less serious...but of course this is Juve and if somethign is not right with Juve its everybody else and not Juve....

I suggest Moggi make some friends in Europe rather than just Italy .. maybe then Juve will actually start succeeding in the CL as well. :pint:
Nick,

though I mostly agree with your post, you can't say this part at the moment. As of yet, nothing's certain. Don't act as if we bought our last five scudetti.

Yes.
However, I think that 90% of the shit said around Italy about Juventus and Moggi is complete fabrication. I have to admit that there probably is something amiss, but only because the accusations are constant. But if even a small percentage of the shit is true then we must be the dirtiest club in, not just Europe, but the world.

If Juve is guilty of a crime here, then, as a Juventino, I am guilty as well. I don't like being a criminal but I will accept it because I am Bianconero to the Bone.

There's talk that Juve management may have had enough of the dicey associations -- whether they are founded or not -- and Moggi may move on in the offseason.

My belief? If it wasn't Juve and instead some other squad with 28 Scudetti, the names would change but many of the stories would be the same.

Not to diminish the importance of establishing the bianconeri as worthy and proper, but today I once again came across video of the 2003 CL semi-finals against Real Madrid. Watching it again, it's amazing to think how far away this current squad is from that one. It's just hard for me to get worked up over two-year-old phone calls suggesting referee choices for friendlies when there's that much work to be done elsewhere.
