Sergio, to be honest, in looking at Green Bay's draft I was more excited about the signing of Charles Woodson. I know A.J. Hawk, but the other drat choices were not familiar to me.
N.C. State was not overrated. In fact, they were viewed as a shit team that was fortunate to make it a bowl game. The past two years we had the best defense in the country, as the 3 first round picks at No. 1, 22, and 26, plus the 4th round selection of LB Stephen Tulloch illustrates. However, this team had little offense and no leadership. The QB situation was torrid. At the end of the season we finally replaced a horseshit QB with a slightly better sheep shit QB and won a few games. The receivers continually ran the wrong routes, the running back core was solid, but the blocking up front disappeared as injuries set in. N.C. State finished below expectations, but it's not like we were projected for the BCS to begin with.

As far as that #1 pick is concerned, Houston will rue the day they passed up on Reggie Bush to take Mario Williams. Every year in the draft, there is always a stud Defensive Lineman. A talent like Reggie Bush comes along every 20 years. They will totally regret it. And this isn't a knock on Williams either, but c'mon, seriously.

im indifferent towards poland, we are neighbourghs so i wish all the worst in all comptitions they participate in likewise to latvia, estonia etc. but other than that they are just as the czech, slovak and the likes, nothing in common. i guess us being in the soviet union and you being outside made the difference. i can associate myself with latvia, estonia, even belarus, but poland is like any other foreign country, except that i know the language quite well i guess. though what is annoying is that people from western union sometimes seem to forget that there are other countries behind poland.

Then again I've heard that the Baltic states have more in common with Scandinavia than they do with Slavic nations.

When it comes to the Baltics, Lithuanians are the "Italians of the North", as you know. (Unfortunately, that says more about their architecture than their footballing prowess, but...)

Yes... while a fourth generation Chicagoan by some branches in the family tree, you'll strike Lithuania if you go a couple of generations down along other branches. (And nearly all of them lead back to Lithuania, save for some Polish and Prussian mixed in on the fringes.)
